Chapter 41 The Ruler

Utah desert.

General Simon Hilson told Jay that he could find a very secluded base in this place, and he wasn't exaggerating. This base is by no means minor, but its concealment is excellent. It is hidden among the deserted valleys full of yellow sand, and the natural terrain provides the perfect cover. If an ordinary reconnaissance plane flying over from the sky, it is 90% likely to ignore it.

But it couldn't escape Jay's super senses.

If it were Helena, she might have professional sneaking skills to sneak into this heavily guarded base without a sound, but Jay didn't know much about this, so he chose a simpler, more straightforward, direct method. He landed very large, and there were quite a few buildings, but Jay didn't look exceptionally large and there were quiet a, but Jay didn't hesitate to find his goal. Strange to say, from the moment he landed, he seemed to feel that something appeared in his mind as if he had drawn a route in the back of his mind, calling him to come.</span>

He instinctively walked towards a hemispherical building in the most central part, during which a hail of bullets inevitably blocked him. But he let the bullets crackle in the sky, squeezing and deforming on his steel body, and walked towards the target building regardless. Sight detonated it because it didn't want to hurt the soldiers in the tank's cockpit.

The hemispherical building seemed to be the one with the highest technological content in the entire facility. The three-layered composite gold gate blocked Jay's face, and the door lock required multiple authentications of passwords, fingerprints, and magnetic cards. And even Jay had to admit that this door was the strongest one he had ever seen because it only slumped in deeply after taking Jay's punch, which is enough to prove it At least has a missile-level defense.

But it failed to take the second punch, and the entire building in the hemisphere seemed to tremble violently when the heavy door panel fell. Jay strode into it, and a small but delicate spaceship took the lead in his sight. It was a white-grey spaceship with a bullet-like shape, dark lines on the outer shell, and some words that Jay couldn't understand but instinctively kindly printed around it... Maybe Krypton Word.

He could feel that it was the ship calling him.

The moment he stepped into this room, the ship started on its own. The light blue fluorescent light in the cockpit filtered through the transparent glass, and the engine spewed green light and hummed like an idling. A layer of the OK avatar was projected in front of Jay, forming an avatar with a blue face, which may still look like a woman from the body shape.

"Warmly welcome!" she said in a clear voice like a silver bell. "The son of the star, the son of the great star and the bright moonlight."

Jay blankly pointed to himself: " Are you talking about me? Who are you?"

"I'm Hijinx, the artificial intelligence of the ship that carried you to this planet." She said in a smooth but very soft voice, "I'm connected to all the data in the local human network, and I can answer any problems."

This was a completely unexpected development. Jay didn't expect to meet the Krypton spacecraft carrying him in such a place, making him feel extra friendly. Countless questions popped up in his mind in an instant, but he forced himself to put aside the temporarily irrelevant ones—he didn't forget what he was trying to figure out in the first place on this trip.

"The project codenamed SDEProject," Jay asked tentatively, "can you find it?"

"Of course." Hajime didn't seem to spend any time searching and answered his question, "It was originally a project initiated by humans to explore alien life forms, but in response, we followed the clues to On Earth, the project was handed over to General Sam Lane after that, and changed in nature to a top-secret project with Kryptonian children as a secret weapon. The project was terminated after the invasion by Apocalypse's army six years ago."

It sounded the same as what General Simon Gilson told him, but that didn't answer the whole question. Jay frowned and asked, "Is that all? Is there anything else?"

"The above is all about the content of SDEProject." Hijab said, paused for a while, and then added, "But two years later, SD has been expanded from this plan. Do you need to explain?"

Jay's expression changed. "Need."

"Many years ago in the SDE Project, humans sent rockets and a large number of signals inviting alien visitors to visit the earth, and another alien also received those signals. But it was not until a year after the end of the apocalypse army invasion that he did not Come to Earth. That alien's name is Mungo."

Jay's heart skipped a beat, and he had begun vaguely anticipating what he was about to hear might be challenging to accept.

"Mongo is an alien tyrant, ruler of the mobile fortress 'World at War'..."

"Skip this part; I know who Mungo is." Jay said quickly, "Tell me what's next."

"Okay." Hajime said, "When the alien monarch Mongo followed the signal to find the earth, the planet was in complete chaos. The apocalypse's invasion significantly damaged the earth's vitality, and the economy of the entire world went backward. For decades, the hero disappeared into the darkness, the system fell into chaos, and the mental state of human beings generally fell into an unprecedented downturn. And this is giving Mungo an opportunity.

Mungo secretly promoted the construction of the human world federal government and turned all the high-level executives into his puppets. He hides behind human society like an invisible shadow but possesses the supreme power of human culture. He turned human society into an appendage of the 'world at war, and over the years, he plundered a large number of resources and energy from the earth for the 'world at war' to use and, at the same time, captured human beings as slaves to work in the 'world at war, or Transform into enhanced monsters to participate in the gladiatorial battles of the 'World at War.' "

"Stop, stop," Jay called hurriedly; he had to make sure this wasn't some stray dream before Heijin went on, "You mean, a cosmic tyrant has ruled our world for so many years, And we are all kept in the dark??"

"Yes," said Higgin calmly.

Jay thinks he's a little dizzy, and it's not his fault; it's a little too hard to digest, even frustrating. He was starting to feel a little frightened, and while he had expected the enemy to be mighty, he had not expected such an exaggeration. If what Higson said is true, it means that he is not only fighting against Mungo but the entire world under his rule.

Maybe it's out of his reach for a fledgling rookie superhero -- who doesn't even consider himself a superhero -- against an outsider with such a level of resources. Stars seem to be a little too difficult. This should be left to the accurate big shots...

Then he quickly realized that there were not many big people left here.

Superman is gone, the Justice League is gone, and the world has lost its hold.

Maybe he could try to find Batman, but Helena says Batman has changed his mood now and is utterly indifferent to things outside Gotham, and he's not sure if Batman will make an exception for this.

Maybe if he didn't do something, no one would.

Just then, a heavy tank gun seemed to hit the top of the building. There was a violent sway under Jay's feet, and a tiny amount of dust was shaken from the roof. A loud and clear voice amplified through the loudspeaker came from outside the door: "Listen to the people inside! Put down your weapons, and walk outside with your head in your hands! Otherwise, we'll be welcome!"
