Chapitre 18: Onto the Mental Path
Mars and Pax talked for hours over their past experiences, the life and death battles they fought and the happy peaceful times they enjoyed. Pax has always been a great and passionate storyteller, so at one point Mars saw an opportunity and his curiousity got the better of him and he asked about how their race came to be. "You know about Jupiter, right? He is our Godfather and the strongest being in existence - the creator of us all. The first thing he did after coming to be, was to create his direct subordinates - the twelve Wyrms, you are one of them Mars. They should assist him in ruling over this world and their own people - the Worms.
He created them after shaping you into existence making his own race come into be with the ability of the strongest mind and taking over their enemies through linking themselves. We are a spiritual race you could say. But..." Pax's voice turned sinister after this.
"In this universe their has to be a balance in everything. That means every being Jupiter created just sprang to live in another place in the world. Beings so brutal and primitive that they are our complete opposites, that are the Void beings. The moment Jupiter came to life, a equivalent strong Void Jupiter did the same, but not with the goal to create but to destroy. They want to devastate our entire race, our realm and our world. We knew about it and felt it, but they were too far away and it took maybe centuries till we met again. Wars followed, destruction and the overtaking of innocent races and planets. Too many war crimes." Pax looked Mars in the eyes.
"But like I said, balance is the highest rule that can never be broken, without it only stagnation and decay would follow." A wry smile appeared on his face. "You ended this meaningless fight. The ultimate sacrifice. Both Mars's fused for common interests, creating a beacon of hope, so that we can live together in peace and ultimately stopping the fights. Communicating between us and using your ultimate power of Void and Mind to stop disputes and to be a diplomate having the ideals of both sides in you... but you dissappeared a year ago and that hope was lost. The Void Army assembled again and fights started leading us to the present day. I don't know what happened but please save us again, like the other times!" Tears were slowly running down Pax's face, he hated war down to the bone as he was someone, who didn't want to kill.
Even though this story didn't match Mars's vision, he thought that Pax just wasn't aware of the truth, just as the meaning of this vision hasn't revealed itself yet. 'Jupiter and the other Wyrms might have changed it according to their own beliefs, justifying the war and making every Worm believe it. But now I know the difference between the soldiers and the higher ups. They aren't even the same race.'
-A man was standing still in a black nothingness full of shining stars with a white scarred oval stone floating in front of him. The man stretched his arm out, letting a white shard appear, that was as big as his head. He began turning it and moving the Core in front of him, trying to figure out, where exactly it was missing. He moved forward and then - Click - It had fit right in.

Mars was excited because of this new development - he will finally destroy that blockade, that kept him from leveling up.
"YES!" Mental Waves kept coming from Mars's body, stirring the black space up and letting the stars collide again and again, creating sparks and explosions. He closed his eyes and tried to endure the pain. Like the first time he felt way more clear and his thoughts couldn't be stopped only accelerating further and further until he felt like he was in a deep sea, diving deeper and deeper until he saw a black light coming from this deep abyss shining onto his body. It changed his state of being transforming him into a black humanoid beast with pale eyes. At the same time another Core that he was carrying with him reacted and flew into the light, strengthening it. The changes took place in less than a second, reverting again and again. It was a process of constant pain, grinding him down.
After a nightmarish long time the effect ended leaving a tired man standing tall in front of the white stone. He did it.
