Chapitre 169: Already compromised

Ivo went into Maguari's room to comm Vice. From the corner of his eye he saw Davi light up a cigarette the moment he walked inside. He still had misgivings about the plan but he knew to give up when he was outnumbered. 

Ivo sat down on Maguari's bed gingerly. He ran his fingers through the knitted quilt, took a sharp breath, and commed Vice.

He picked up in seconds. The holo popped in Ivo's wrist, a squarish, blurry screen showing Vice's harried face.

"I can't believe you'rd comming me. I thought I would only hear from you three days from now when I already thought you were dead."

"Everything's fine. We're in uh, Paraisópolis. There's this gang, uh, Batalhão, who have taken over the community."

Vice's eyes went wide. He let out a colourful string of curses before closing his eyes, taking a sobering breath, and addressing Ivo again. "Great, and it's just the four of you and the girl in your heads?"
