They waited in that metro station for hours. Some of them spent in inane chatter, several others in total silence.

Ivo felt tired down to his bones. He wanted to shower and go to bed. At this point he'd even settle for sleeping in the shower.

When he finally heard Yunmi's voice in his ears, she sounded tired too. "They're leaving now. The PS was there to question everyone. Alina and Davi were some of the first staff to leave because everyone confirmed they didn't leave the living room or the kitchen."

The breath trapped like an elastic band around Ivo's lungs came out all at once. At least he didn't fuck up. Kuroda was dead and they were home free.

He and Thiago finally took the metro shuttle back home. It wouldn't do for the other staff to see Ivo there.
