Chapitre 93: Blank Slate

Ivo wasn't sure he understood Davi's point any better. But this conversation put him in mind of the one they had weeks ago, when they talked about the rain.

He knew that Davi was trying to make him understand something he couldn't -- or wouldn't -- explain in full.

Ivo tapped off the ash of his cigarette over the railing, already thinking about lighting up the next one. He was glad Davi was no longer ignoring him, but he wasn't sure if these cryptic conversations did anything for his bruised feelings. 

"I'm glad, by the way, that you're happy," Davi said, putting an end to the awkward silence that had descended over them. "Considering the fact that you have no memories, you've been adjusting well."
