Chapitre 25: Got the job
As soon as Seo-yeon hung up after having a long chat and scolding her best friend, they were all called out for their results.
Seo-yeon gently stepped out of the dressing room with a normal expression while nervousness and fear were obvious in the expression of the others.
"We thank you all for participating in this year's picking. This year was a tough one but you all did well. We have collected all your results and reviews from the students you taught and here are the ten people who will start working in the next three days."
"Three days? I thought it was going to be a few days after." Seo-yeon mumbled to herself as she watched the names display on the projector. Like the first time, her name was the last to be displayed.
"Thank you so much for participating. Those of you who were chosen would be shown into your personal dressing rooms in the teachers building. Welcome to Elegance. I hope your time with us would be pleasant. Your contracts would be given to you by your accompanies, you would read through once you get to your dressing rooms and sign. I'm sure our terms would be favorable for you all."
Seo-yeon picked her bag and stood up as the others did the same. Just as she looked up, she saw Ye-eun walk towards her with a black file with her. As soon as she stepped before her, she handed her the file and gestured to her to follow which she did quietly.
"I was told to take you on a tour before you leave but first, you'll have to sign your contract." She instructed, "I would have given the tour once you return in the next three days, to start work but I would be busy." Ye-eun informed in her cold manner as they walked out of the building and walked towards the other building which had the sign Teachers Building on it.
As soon as they stepped into the building, Seo-yeon was a bit stunned but she didn't show it. The building was extraordinarily large and made with glass. She was sure there would be lots of rooms there for teachers to occupy.
"This way." Ye-eun led her toward the main elevator and pressed the button, leading her to the top floor. As soon as the elevator door opened, Ye-eun walked out hastily as if she couldn't wait for this madness to end. "This is your personal room. It is one of the largest dressing rooms in the whole building. You were given because as they said your talent is extraordinary and you would be teaching the high class which is the final year student hip hop dance and the beginners ballet."
As soon as Ye-eun pushed the door open, a sweet fragrance of rose hit Seo-yeon's nostrils as she peeped inside.
"Wow." Seo-yeon said gently. She wasn't surprised because of the type of facilities and all. She wondered how much a full time worker would be earning if she was earning just twenty five thousand won per hour.
The dressing room was large and beautiful. There was a sitting place right after the entrance and a large dance studio behind the sitting place. There was another door which Seo-yeon was sure was the changing room and all needed for privacy.
"Here is your contract. Read through and sign, I have to go along with it." Ye-eun threw her the contract and Seo-yeon scoffed.
"Are you nuts or what? Who do you think you are? You've been acting like the boss of me since I got here. Excuse me, I don't handle disrespect gently. I hate disrespectful people." Seo-yeon frowned and Ye-eun scoffed as she opened the contract to read through, while sitting down gracefully.
Seo-yeon scanned through the contract and digested it very well. She was expected to work from nine am in the morning till two pm in the afternoon. That was going to be five hours with one hundred and twenty five thousand won payment. And she would work just three days in a week; Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Any extra days would be paid half of what she earns normally, per hour. Seo-yeon crossed check it before signing it, giving the papers back to Ye-eun.
"Are you ready for your tour or you're just going to sit down here…."
Seo-yeon held her hand up signaling to her to hold it as she stood up and walked out of the room, leaving her bags there. Ye-eun scoffed as she followed after her.
As soon as they got out of the teacher's building, the bells rang and students started walking out of their various classrooms.
"Great. It's the end of the day already and I'm stuck here touring around the school." Ye-eun mumbled loud enough for Seo-yeon to know but she just ignored it because she knew it was intentional.
Seo-yeon instead focused on the large group of students she recognized rushing towards her. It was the students she had taught earlier during her tests.
"Miss Seo-yeon. We heard you will be our new hip-hop teacher."
"Miss Seo-yeon, when will you start teaching us?"
"Miss Seo-yeon you would resume with us next week right?"
A smile appeared on Seo-yeon's lips as she saw this. "Yes I've been chosen."
