Jake and the dryads remained busy the whole night.
Early in the morning, the first sunlight pierced through the cloak of leaves and branches. The dryads had merged with their spiritual trees to rest.
''Are you satisfied now?'' The elder druid floated toward the demon. His expression implied that he wanted Jake to leave immediately.
''Indeed, they were delicious last night. You would know, right?'' Jake licked his lips and flew up.
Although he didn't say it directly, his words left a bad taste in Edgar's mouth. He realized the demon knew he was checking on them last night.
The druid looked at the state of this site. Though nothing seemed to have changed, he couldn't help but feel the worshiping area was tainted now.
Flying through the forest, Jake reached the place where the carriage was parked. It appeared the druid hadn't tried doing anything suspicious. He was too worried about Jake's presence.
''Master, w-welcome back.''
''D-Did you have fun…?''
