My mouth fell open, what did they mean involvement? 

I stared at mom as she had her eyes narrowed on our 'guests'. 

" On what grounds? " Dad asked boldly. 

" On the grounds of this. " slightly shorter man said. 

The other reached into his pocket and produced a piece of cloth, a handkerchief, that was kept in a clear bag. With our crest printed on it. 

Dad raised an eyebrow in question,

 " Seriously? " 

It was a habit of dad's to occasionally take things with our pack's crest everywhere he went. He was proud to be part of this pack. 

" It was found near the crime scene and as per your statement. You were nowhere near where any of the bodies were found. This proves otherwise." said the man as he continued where he left off. 

" You and your mate were the only ones who could have come with this along with your late alpha. This was found near the scene of alpha Jacob of feral claw's death, and not your alpha's."
