Chapitre 131: Ch 146: Rex Tricked Samantha

Not too far away from the city. Rex and his advisors were lurking on the plaza streets. They entered a mall as the one vampire that never wears a shirt covers his muscular torso with his trench coat.

The six of them surely looked like they were up to no good. Others eyed them oddly since they stood out in the crowd of mall shoppers. High behind their calves, their trench coats lifted in their tread.

Reaching the back of the mall, they exit and take off still in their stride. As the wind blew their trench coats up. Which made them look more alluring and dangerous now. With nobody around, they zap off in a quicker dash unseen and land on a high roof within the city.

"Rex!" On cue, they turn around and see this beautiful Barbie doll-looking vampiress. Her eyes were blazing fiery red. And her dress was fitted tightly around her body so that it showed off her slender long legs and every curve in all the right places.

"Yes, Samantha?" Rex replies to her with an evil grin.

"How could you go against our argument!" Samantha shouts ghastly. "You gave the lust spell drug to Jack and Sharlene! You were supposed to give it to Ben and Victoria to break Kai into thinking he'll never have his chance with her!"

Rex and his advisors laughed obnoxiously at her. Then he slicked his way to Samantha and pinched her chin between his thumb and long fingers. She tried to move but she couldn't.

"What makes you think I messed up?" Rex asked with this snicker.

"Uh," Samantha's tongue was caught in a twist. "We had a deal, Rex. I was supposed to be Kai's Queen." She managed to whisper, yet she felt defeated.

One tear runs down her eye as Rex wiped it away with his one fingertip and confessed. "Correction, you only thought we had a deal. I don't need Kai thinking Victoria cheated on him with Ben. I only need Kai distracted enough that his defenses go down. Jack or Rome was the perfect distraction to bring down his defenses. If you want to be his mate and queen then you have to figure that out on your own. Either way, I will get Victoria while you do whatever to claim your crown as a vampiress queen to Kai's clan."

Samantha shoved his hands off her chin as anger intensified in her veins. "You hunters are all the same! This is nothing more but a game for you!"

Rex and his friends laughed amused at her. "Of course, what sorta fun would it be if it wasn't for the game and thrill of the hunt," Rex revealed the truth. "It certainly isn't my fault you fell for my lies."

Samantha shook her head and disappeared far away from them. While they kept laughing

"Can we trust Samantha not to tell Kai?" asked one of his advisors. "She's the only one that knows the truth."

"Perhaps not but I doubt she'll turn herself in," resolved Rex. "The bartender that served Jack and Sharlene the drug has been vanquished. Besides, Samantha is only part of my plan. No matter how things play out. I know Samantha's jealousy will get the best of her."

"Is Samantha phase four?" the shirtless vampire teasingly asked, grinning.

Rex shrugged his shoulders unsure. "Perhaps, Samantha will set most of the phases into play. However the phases fall into the plan, either way, the outcome will lead Victoria unprotected."

Everyone nodded to Rex as he added with a twisted grin. "Now let's go find Ben and start phase three by breaking some hearts."

They agreed and took off soaring down the building unseen from being too fast and they were traveling in shadow form. Within minutes, they picked up Ben's scent in a jewelry store.

When nobody walking the streets noticed, they turned into their solid bodies and waited for Ben. Once he finished purchasing what appeared to be a bracelet put inside a box. They followed him down the sidewalk. Not too far or too close but they crept in their stealth.

Ben felt like he was being followed but when he looked back he only saw some people here and there. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. So he ignored his gut feeling. He kept walking and entered an isolated parking garage. Before getting in his car he heard a loud scurrying commotion and then something else swooshing by his right shoulder.

Ben looked everywhere his sight could see but he saw nothing. No one except for him was inside this murky city garage that smelled like rubber and vehicle fumes.

Thud! Ben swirled around and right in front of him was this person wearing a Gothic-style trench without wearing a shirt. Had jumped on the roof of his white car. Red eyes sneered at him. Ben backed up, shocked.

Ben knew this man wasn't human. "What are you?"

Even if he appeared to look like it, the red eyes and the badly dented roof of his car gave away that this man wasn't human.

Still, standing on the smashed car roof. The shirtless vampire cocked his neck instead of answering.

Vampires!" Rex's broad voice caught Ben off guard. He nervously turned to see he was surrounded by these creatures. All glistening with their bloodred eyes. Rex grinned cunningly and withdrew his fangs.

Then he lunged in mid-air as Ben yelled. His voice echoed across the garage. The box Ben had fallen to the pavement and spilled out this golden bracelet. As Ben's horrifying cry's continued filling the dingy garage.
