With a running start Chi got as far in as he could beneath the black widow before diving into a slide. His body leaning back as he slid across the ground. Dirt flying into the air from him as his arm reached out. Grabbing the silver sword back from beneath the spider as he found himself below her. Her giant body slammed fiercely against the surroundings as she tried to reposition herself to see the man who had just gotten below her.
Enraged that she could no longer see her prey and the actions of the white usher against her legs. A loud shrilling shriek caused all birds within hearing distance to desperately take to the sky to evade her call. Chi knew he could not waste time beneath her in case she decided to send her body right down on top of him. He would become smashed instantly if he did not get out in time. Getting to his feet he moved for the surroundings.
Swinging her legs all about the black widow sent the usher flying. Its body smashing against a near by tree. Chi wanted to shout out but he was given no chance as it turned in his direction. Raising both of its front legs the widow sent them straight down in Chi's direction. Attempting to jump out of the way Chi found himself unable to dodge them completely. Raising his sword to try and block the oncoming attack one of the legs scraped against the sword as he moved out of its way. With so much force behind it he could not block the entire thing. The leg managed to wound him as it left a large cut across his side.
The wound stung badly as blood poured from it. He knew he had to take care of the wound quickly or it would become more serious. Hearing the sound of the usher rushing over to him from behind he turned his head to it. Climbing on top of the large usher as his blood stained the beasts fur they both glanced up at the black widow. Readying its legs once more for an attack.
When the legs came down in their direction the usher swiftly dodged the attack. Making its way up the black widow's legs as it scaled their way for the top of the beast. Once on top of the giant black widow they could feel it trying desperately to shake them off. Chi released his hold on the white usher and allowed himself to fall flat onto the back of the widow. Sinking his silver steel sword deep into its back as he held on. Her loud shrill from the pain of the weapon sinking into her caused him to desperately fight back the urge to cover his ears as he held on tight.
Slamming into the surrounding trees she fought desperately for them to fall from her. The usher could not keep his balance on top of her so he had to quickly remove himself while Chi remained with his firm grasp on the weapon. The more the black widow struggled the more his sword ripped the wound wider. His own wound could be felt getting worse from the motion. Gritting his teeth together he could only force himself to bare with the pain. Every chance he got he would pull the sword out only to sink it deep once again in another spot on the black widow from above. He was not sure how many times he had to repeat the action but over time he could feel her wearing down til her body finally collapsed flat onto the ground beneath them.
"Its.. finally over.." Chi said as his breathing heaved. He was not aware of how long he had been struggling to take down the one creature by himself but he knew it had been a long time since the fight had started.
Knowing the others would be wondering where he was by now he knew he had to head back to them. They would also know how to help him with the wound if he could make it back to them. Tyson was sure to have seen a wound or two before over the years. That he was sure of but thinking of such a thing made his heart ache. For some reason he could not bare the thought of Tyson getting hurt in any way. He wanted to understand why he thought that way but he knew he would not understand his own thinking without the man actually being around. He wanted to see Tyson again so that he could understand himself further.
Sliding himself down from the giant black widow he collapsed onto his rear end beside it. Back against the beast as he watched the white usher rush over to him. Its own body panting as it shifted back to its small size and lay beside him. Knowing that he had to do something about his own wound he tried to climb to his feet. He had to make it back to the castle in order to find something to help him. The moment he got to his feet he could feel blood rush from the wound and spill onto the ground.
Every part of his body ached from head to toe as he tried to keep himself standing there. He had to keep moving forward if he wanted to return to the group but he was not use to pushing himself so much. Whether it was exhaustion or the pain in his side it was all things that were new to him. Wanting to see Tyson and the others again he could only push himself more.
Am I so weak that I'm hallucinating? Chi thought to himself as his vision blurred and returned in waves. In front of him he felt as if he could see the image of Tyson rushing over to him from a distance away. It looked as if he was shouting something at him as he ran over but Chi felt so exhausted that he could not make out the words. He was not sure if it was pure exhaustion or the wound but it felt as if the entire world was fading away as he began to loose consciousness.
"Chi! Chi hang in there!" Tyson's voice rang out loud in Chi's ears as he collapsed. His entire body falling only be caught in the warm embrace of Tyson's arms as he made it over to the man just in time to catch him before he hit the cold ground.
