Adriel's head was currently buried in different books trying to find lightning techniques so he was completely unaware that his fellow disciples already recognized him if he did he wouldn't think much of it though.
After a while, the noise died down and everyone continued with their business, while some die-hard fan patiently waited by the side for him to finish.
His reason for wanting lightening skills was mostly from the experience he had from reading several light novels,
Many of the fastest attacks were lightning attributed and the best movement techniques were also lightening based.
In this world, cultivation methods were divided into five major grades namely: unranked, yellow, profound, earth, and heaven grade techniques.
Skyfall library's First-floor lightening section has over a thousand unranked techniques, three hundred yellow techniques, and sixty profound grade techniques, one had to ascend to higher floors to choose higher grade techniques
Adriel kept scrolling through book after book until finally, his gaze landed on a yellow movement technique called Raging Roc.
The Raging roc technique was incomplete, according to the short description it should have nine stages combined and could even be regarded as an earth grade technique, but due to reasons unknown to Adriel, this raging rock manual only had three stages so the grade fell to yellow grade.
But this was enough for the current Adriel.
After mastering the first stage of this technique one can condense a Roc made purely with lightning and could travel at twenty meters per second.
Upon achieving second stage mastery Adriel will be able to condense two lightening rocs that could travel at thirty meters per second
The third stage is the first threshold of the <Raging Roc> technique, achieving mastery in it will grant Adriel to condense three lightening rocs that could travel at sixty meters per second, that was not all he could also fuse these three lightening rocs and form a larger roc, with it he could temporarily as high as fifty feet from the ground at a speed of ninety meters per second!
"This is it!," Adriel confirmed before setting the technique aside, he had a thought, what if he used this technique with a real Roc, will the speed increase, according to the description the author of the writer formed this technique after observing a powerful lighting Roc flying through the sky at supersonic speed! So Adriel felt there was a high chance his speed will soar if he included a Real Roc together with the lightning Rocs.
That being said, he needed to first contract a lightning Roc or its descendants.
As Adriel was pondering a voice low as the summer brook reached his ears.
"Jinx of-- no senior are you sure you want to choose that technique?"
Adriel turned to look in the direction of the voice and he saw a girl in purple long dress looking at the scroll in his hands.
She was an head shorter than Adriel, she stood there quivering slightly a if she was afraid to be seen,, her hands were wrapped around her average size breasts, her long obsidian dark hair obscured the upper half of her face but Adriel could tell she was a natural beauty.
Adriel answered curtly, " yes" before ignoring her.
The girl didn't seem to mind his short answer: "senior shouldn't, this technique is too dangerous and has too high requirements, this must be senior's first time in this library so you probably don't know that outer sect disciples are only allowed to choose two techniques without paying points per year, it will be regretful if you waste that slot on such a technique that is almost impossible to learn" she explained with a concerned voice, her body seemed to tremble slightly as spoke every word.
Adriel stopped in his tracks when he heard her, this was news to him, he was previously under the impression that he could take all the techniques for free.
'Seems I have to change my plans I don't have any point whatsoever so I can only take one more technique apart from the Raging Roc" Adriel fell into deep thought 'should I take a defensive technique or an attack technique?"
Seeing Adriel thinking, the shy girl didn't disturb him, instead she quietly leaned on the bookshelf closest to her as if she was trying to meld with it.
Soon Adriel spoke "thank you very much for your advice, it was indeed helpful" after saying that he flashed her a radiant smile.
The shy girl blushed when she saw his handsome smile, she hurriedly covered her face with one hand , and waved the other at Adriel as she carefully said, "do- don't mention it, fellow disciples should look out for each other, besides Xanu is a fan of yours"
'I have fans?" Adriel thought, this was news to him so he asked, "who is Xanu?"
The tender Girl blushed again before pointing at herself: "my name is Xanu, senior "
Adriel's eyes widened in surprise 'Woah my fan is this pretty, but why would she be interested in me, it's not like I have done anything out of the ordinary apart from cultivating.....wait is it because of that'
He suddenly had a thought and quickly asked her "Xanu why are you my fan?"
Xanu was taken aback by his obvious question but she soon recovered when she thought of how this uncle of hers was always cultivating and probably didn't know what people were saying about him, she thought for a while before saying "Xanu admires senior's indomitable will, even though senior encountered that scary lightening, senior good like a divine rock and never gave up, senior even courageously fought the heavenly lightening over and over, ....and senior always look cool while doing it" she managed to say with her heads looking down, and her hands were clenched.
Adriel couldn't help but feel warmth when he heard her, she sounded like felt his pain over the years, and from the looks of it, she must have been praying for him to succeed.
'Is this a sect, where they shoulder troubles together and enjoy victory together'
Until now Adriel didn't have a sense of belonging in the sect, he only cared about his mom, Fan Linxu, and maybe that old guy in rainbow pijamas, he even had plans to leave when he was strong enough, but it seems some good people cared and were looking out for him.
'Oh well it seems I have to stick around for my fans" Adriel sighed inwardly before saying "I see, don't worry I'll try and remain cool for you"
Xanu smiled happily upon hearing that.
