On the pier of a vast frozen lake in the middle of the garden, a middle-aged man sat across his fishing rod. The man's back was slightly bent despite being sturdy and broad, wearing a very thick fur coat covered with a thin layer of snow.
From behind the man, another man, who looked older, but looked taller with a sturdier build than the middle-aged man, appeared and walked up to him.
"Isn't the weather nice, Your Grace?" asked the middle-aged man who looked up into the grey sky.
"Yes, although it's definitely a lot colder here than the capital's winter," said the old man behind him. "Isn't that right, Your Majesty?"
The Emperor chuckled. He wiped the spot next to him from the thin layer of snow with his sleeve, motioning for the Old Duke to sit next to him.
“The peak of winter has passed a month ago, but the air will still be freezing like this until the end of March. I hope you understand,” said the Old Duke after sitting down next to him.
