Chapitre 34: Start a Company
"Anyi, do you want to act?"
Xu Anyi raised an eyebrow in confusion, "Why do you suddenly ask that?"
Qin Beihou quickly explained what had just happened with Xia Yiwei and how upset he was about it, "I do not want to act with her. . . But I can find a way to kick her out and push you in."
He sounded hopeful and he eagerly awaited her response. Although Xia Yiwei also had a pretty major role in the company due to her popularity and her fiance, if he really demanded it, he could probably get her out of the role. . . But replacing her with Xu Anyi would be a little more difficult.
However, as Qin Beihou was thinking about it, Xu Anyi chuckled softly, replying, "It's okay. I just want to model."
She knew that she had no talent or skill in acting, and if she really did replace Xia Yiwei, not only would Xia Yiwei probably use that against her using her large fanbase and status, she most likely also wouldn't be able to act as well as Xia Yiwei, and that would hurt her reputation in the industry right away.
Qin Beihou could not hide the disappointment on his face, "But-"
He knew that he wouldn't be able to change her mind as she was certain with her words and he also knew that he had only been overly hopeful although he knew it wouldn't happen. He sighed, "Okay."
They talked for a while more before Xu Anyi hung up and he drove back to his home.

Xu Anyi looked over at Si Mu, who was typing something on his laptop, and she leaned over to him slightly, "Manager Si, you can start looking for modeling jobs for me now."
She gave him a thumbs up, "I am ready."
Si Mu looked over at her and nodded, "I will look into it."

At night, Xu Anyi went to work at Yihua again.
She brought the drinks to the customers, and the customers in the front bar mostly did not bother with her, so she simply did her job.
The bar was less busy than usual as it was way past midnight already, and Xu Anyi was cleaning up as she wiped one of the tables. Suddenly, she felt a tap on her back, and she turned around, her eyes meeting with Shen Lili.
Xu Anyi paused for a moment as her eyes widened. Since their last meeting, she had not seen Shen Lili since, and she did not ever show up at Yihua anymore either.
"Shen Lili?"
Shen Lili removed her sunglasses and a smile appeared on her face as she went directly into her subject, "Can you model for me?"

After Xu Anyi had finished her job about half an hour later, she left the bar and found Shen Lili waiting for her right outside in the hallway, as she had promised half an hour ago.
Xu Anyi rubbed her tired eyes as the two of them walked over to a nearby table and sat down.
"What do you mean?" Xu Anyi asked as she remembered Shen Lili's request.
"I want to design my own clothes and start my own brand. . . As you know, I've always liked designing clothes and I have been continuing to draw and design clothes for a while now, but I haven't done anything with it. I know you want to model. . . We can work together!"
Xu Anyi was completely awake now as she thought about Shen Lili's words, "Start a brand. . . So you want to start a company?"
Shen Lili shrugged, "I don't really care. I just want to design and have more people see and wear my clothes."
Xu Anyi leaned back and crossed her arms together, deep in thought. After a few seconds, she looked into Shen Lili's eager gaze and smiled, "I'll do it."

They talked for at least another half an hour before Xu Anyi had to leave. They exchanged their phone numbers before Xu Anyi left, her heart pumping with excitement.
They had decided that she would be the boss of the brand and Shen Lili can just focus on designing.
"Let's meet tomorrow," Shen Lili said to her before leaving.
Xu Anyi waved goodbye to her before entering Si Mu's car, "I'm sorry to keep you waiting."
Si Mu looked at her sparkling eyes and immediately knew something was up, so he did not start the car right away, "What happened?"
At once, Xu Anyi told him about her plan with Shen Lili, as she was dying to share with someone already, but the only person she wanted to share it with was him.
When she had finished, she asked cautiously, "What do you think about it?"
Si Mu nodded, "Do it! I can invest."
Although his words were simple, she could hear his genuine support.
He wanted her to know that she could do whatever she wanted, for he would always be right behind her, ready to catch her if she were to fall.
She smiled, "That's okay, it's still just an idea. We don't need any investments yet." Xu Anyi looked out the window into the dark night, but she wasn't tired at all. Instead, her entire body was burning with excitement.
"Then. . . how about quitting the job at Yihua?" Si Mu asked softly.
Xu Anyi thought about it, and this time, she did not refuse, "Okay."
Si Mu smiled, "I will have someone tell your manager about it. You do not have to worry."
Xu Anyi turned around to look at him as she leaned her head against the back of the chair, "Thank you, Si Mu."
"You do not need to thank me." He paused, and then added, "I am your husband."
Xu Anyi smiled warmly as she slowly closed her eyes.
He looked over at her and did not say anything more as he slowly started the car and began steadily driving down the road back home.
