Forced to listen, looking at every piece of art Brian had to show and nodding, smiling, this new life she had to take to protect the one she loved, she did it for him, she did it for Nicolas.

Her heart made peace that he will be safe, and in order to keep herself at least marginally happy, she drank that wine like water, kindly asking for more as soon as her glass emptied out.

"Enjoying yourself?" Brian asked tilting the bottle again.

Belladonna lost count on how many she had, her head spun and she swiveled on her feet, it felt like an escape right now.

"I am, actually"

"You're still not settled into this idea, but you will"

"I know! Just give me time" she said and took a sip.

Brian gave her a good stare as she rolled her tongue inside her mouth, she was dead calm, he liked it that way, but he knew soon she'll be his in all ways.

"What can I do more to make you comfortable?" he asked.

"Keep my glass full" she said.
