Chapitre 5: From One To Many Pt. 1

Nicholas dropped from the Vault heading straight for the ground before releasing his free fall pack in midair. He looked around at all the many different parachutes from free fall packs but counted a great many but not as many for the people they lost from the landing. Especially in particular he didn't see Fuego's body shape at all and began to worry.

"Come one damn man, where are you?" as he desperately searched for his friends among the evacs. After searching through all of them he forgot the World Breaker that was still flying around shooting off Wind Shots. The Delfiend gracefully went around dodging the fire Delfiends fire shots as it skillfully picked off the help less and floating mercs. Though once the members of Camp Laz realized their efforts were quite late to fight back.

Though then did till their last breath which wasn't long if you counted the missed fire shot that also was burning them to a crisp.

On top of that the shots lances and orbs shot off from various directions with a singular target but did no damages the Delfiend was encased in its wind barrier, slaughtering all it saw. Nicholas quickly cut the ropes of his free fall pack shooting off to the ground as he needs he formed a Water Wall to cushion his blow. The Water Wall helped but didn't leaving him undamaged as his speed increased greatly due to the planet's gravitational pull.

Nicholas crashed into the water barrier and dissolved it as he limped to a nearby tree hoping to catch his breath. He breathe deeply as his clutched his side winning in pain. He gritted his teeth and looked down to see a rock jabbed deeply into his side.

'Damn just my luck, too bad I'm not a Earth Slayer I could have removed this and kept on.' Though as Nicholas was cursing his bad luck he still searched for any surviving members of Camp Laz hoping the reached the ground and hid. He looked towards the sky as he saw the Vault explode on more time before breaking into the atmosphere heading to the ground littering it with debris.

"Shit shit where is Fuego I know and explosion like the wouldn't have killed him but I'm worried about the damn Delfiends specially that damn bird!" The outrage he felt was justified considering no World Breaker hell no S rank Category Delfiend has ever just targeted humans like that before while fighting another of their kind. Just what was the issue of this bird was one thing he could wrap his head around.

He watched as the Vault crashed about a kilometer away sending smoke in the sky as its final bid farewell to the universe. Nicholas was just about to suck it when he fell to his knees and moved his hand to see his wound bleeding profusely.

"Damn. Damn DAMN!" he cursed loudly as he slid down the tree leaving a trail of blood when he heard snarling come from the thicket of trees and saw a feline like Delfiend emerge from the top of trees in front of him. Nicholas gulped loudly as his bicep glowed with a bright light and his bond once came out in is spectral form and materialized.

Standing in between them was the shape of a snapping turtle like Delfiend with a bright orange shell covered in dark colored seaweed. The figure of the Bond was more than enough to scare most Delfiends, even of a higher rank, away. That usually would be the case but a the end of the opposing Delfiends tail was a blue tinted dagger like blade shaking around as if the Delfiend was playing with his bond. Nicholas didn't figure it was more than A B rank at best though his Tsunami Turtle was A rank, close to S rank with its defense capabilities and stamina.

"Tsu hold it off for me as best you can." Nicholas struggled to his feet as he kept coughing up blood and his eyes barely remaining open he stood to face the threat he was sure he could get rid of.

Though in a blink of an eye the Feline Delfiend flicked it's tail and at the end of the motion Nicholas' eyes widened with horror as his face went pale and blood gushed from his nose.

"You...you killed Tsu....my Bond" Nicholas' disbelief set into reality as the feline smiled back at him.

This Delfiend never saw him as a threat but only something to play with judging from its reaction.

Tsunami Turtle slowly split into two solidifying its gruesome end. Nicholas just fell back to the tree waiting to be eaten but the Delfiend just sat in a resting position as it stared at him. Nicholas' horror filled eyes were glued to the feline as if he looked away then the blade at the end of the tail would be used on him next but what happened next shocked him even more.

The Delfiend glared at him as if warning him to stay in that spot while it turned and waled away. Though Nicholas knew he could have left but knew it was useless as he would've been hunted down and slaughtered without mercy from that single look.

The Delfiend came back with a massive egg shaped object that was a dark as night but upon closer inspection one could see there were small ocean waves moving along the shell. The egg also had a small sharp blade at the tip which was the same color as the blade on the Delfiend.

The Delfiend placed the egg down on the ground as it nudged it closer to Nicholas urging him to pick it up with haste.

"You want me to grab this do you? Well why kill my bond instead of doing this before!?" Nicholas was still hesitant of trusting a being that just killed one of his allies and receiving objects from them. The Delfiend flared its deep blue eyes in annoyance to Nicholas questioning it. Nicholas quickly noticed this and as stubborn as he was he wasn't dumb and grabbed the egg without hesitation.

Upon retrieval of the egg Nicholas felt a sharp pain and looked down to see the blade at the top of the egg had moved and stabbed him in his hand. He winced out in pain as his vision faded to black from too much blood lost. The Feline Delfiend watched the even with expecting eyes before turning around after Nicholas fainted. The Delfiend stopped and stared at the sky as it was filled with green and green explosion before disappearing into the forest leaving no trace.

The Delfiend looked back once at where it left Nicholas and noticed that he was now wrapped in a cocoon of water full incasing his body as it spun around. After confirming Nicholas' condition the Delfiend wrapped its body in a thick layer of mist before darting off deep into the forest toward the mountains. Every step it took was light and silent but also filling the forest with a light mist as if hiding something.

Nicholas soon awoke and looked around for the Defined but found no trace of it. He looked down at his palm and saw that the egg was gone also, He feared that the egg was stolen. "Oh man, oh man. I gotta go before that thing comes back and kills me." He swiftly stood up and looked around before noticing that his wounds were all healed and the bleeding stopped.

In light of no injuries the fear of being killed left his mind and he looked to the sky towards the pillar of smoke and decided that was his next destination in search if his missing friend. "Well I'm sure that idiot would've done the same thing for me." His eyes shined brightly and his deep blue auras rugged around him as he sprinted off deeper in the forest towards the wreckage.
