"How did he get you to take the blood?" Theo repeated. 

"I, uh…" Cora said, frowning as if she were trying to remember when in reality she was trying to find the best words for it. She couldn't lie to her mate, but how was she going to make this sound like it was no big deal? Grayson had kissed her. 

Theo blew a heavy breath out of his nose and looked away from her. She didn't even need to tell him how it had happened. It was clear by the look on her face. The problem was going to be getting his own feelings about it under control. That bastard Grayson was supposed to be watching out for her, but that didn't mean he had any right to touch her much less… put his mouth on hers.
