Chapitre 30: PRODIGAL LADY
Maria and her friends were passing their days with ease. Because the Grey and Martin Family did many illegal works and crimes , the government sealed their properties and companies. And they wanted to auction off both family's properties and companies. They used many illegal methods to collect properties. Maria got the news from Joseph and immediately took interest in this matter. Although both families were running textiles and hotels business , Maria could merge those businesses and launch a new company. So she thought of her luxury design band T of City B. Now she could open a local band for ordinary and working class people and ordinary people. Thus both family's textiles companies would help her a lot in this way.
As for hotels and restaurants, she would upgrade its quality and launch a new way. She would stop those illegal sources which was the link of both families'illegal works. Also cut off the connection of illegal sources.
Speaking of properties of both families , Maria and Mary both would buy those properties and upgrade them as rest-houses and guesthouses. So they could open another chain of business. Both of them agreed for equal share. Martin Family also invested in the food industry and last year bought a small company for their next business plan. Thus Maria would merge her farm business and Martin Family's food business together and turn it into a new business.
When Maria and her friends heard from Joseph this auction news , they planned all of this together. Since Jason, Mary and Mia's hometown was here , Maria selected Jason for textile business , Mary for hotels and properties business and Mia for food and farm business. Speaking of Jason's work , he could do both business and official work. Since he chose to work as a secret member of Joseph's team.
Once the plans were made , Jason contacted Joseph and told him about their plans. And he also said that money was not a problem at all , but they wanted the whole business and other properties of both families. Joseph agreed happily and wanted to help them. After that Jason ended his call and happily told his friends the good news. Thus all of them cheered. Then they planned to celebrate the good news one week later. So they started to work on their own part of the plan.
Maria invited the He and Moore Family first for her celebration banquet. Then she had to prepare some invitation letters for other important people. Mia and Jason took charge of planning the banquet and hotel booking. In the meantime Kate and Mary started to handle Maria's farm business. Mike went to City B to handle Maria's business there. Maria, Aiden and Ella started to handle City F's matter and upcoming business matters. Thus they started to get busy themselves.
City F now had a rare peaceful time. This time would not be permanent. This was calm before the storm. Soon a storm would come and break the whole atmosphere of City F
Both the He and Moore Family became dumbfounded after hearing Maria's invitation and the planning of the younger generation. They never thought that Maria would buy the whole business of both families. Also May would invest her personal money in this and would become a shareholder of Maria's hotels business. This made the He Family more excited and thrilled. Never in their dreams did they think that Mary would do business and become responsible. It looked like Maria was their lucky star. She even turned their spoiled little girl into a responsible person. However they did not know the placement of Jason and Mia. Otherwise they would get another shock and turn into silly. Because Jason and Mia would get a certain amount of share and wages as a worker. They both helped Maria to start over a new business. Thus their share amount was added by Maria. Three of them were so excited that they could not describe it. They never thought that they would work in a company as a high position without having higher degree.
As soon as Joseph's team announced the final hearing day of the drug case report and three family's (Wood, Martin and Grey) crime lists , Citizens again became active. They all were waiting for the court's final verdict and punishment of those criminals. Only Wood Family's business and properties got saved from this case matter. Eva and her father were arrested due to their criminal act. However the older members of the Grey and Martin Family started to pray for their safety. But their curses towards Maria and her friends did not lessen , on the other hand it increased. They even pray to God for Maria and her friends for their retribution. Not only the older generation but also other members of both families had the same thoughts. Only the Wood Family wanted to teach Cindy and Jack and their family members. However the Wood Family's dream remained in the dream. They still could not find the missing puzzle which would prove how Eva reached that hotel room along with Shawn and Harry.
Even if those people cursed Maria and her friends , nothing was going to happen to them. Her passing days became getting busier and busier. However she felt more energetic and cheerful. Because her next revenge started from City F. Although she could give Sophia and Oscar a loud slap by using her real identity , she always believed that revenge was a dish which served cold. It would have more effect if she made a new powerful persona of her. Because Sophia and her family always disdained her due to her special identity (Maria used orphan identity in City B) , as well Oscar's family. Although Oscar liked her , he was a coward and gave in to the temptation of power. Thus Maria planned to give that adulterous couple so much pain , they would pray to God for early death.
Not only did Maria's team get the news about the auction , many influential people also got the news. It was within the business circle and those who had good relations with government officers. Because many of them wanted a piece from that pie. Unfortunately Maria already booked everything. If those people got wind of Maria's plan , they would get a huge shock. However this shocking news would shake the whole City F soon. Robert also got the wind of this news from his sub-ordinates and they also reported the latest movements of Maria. Then Maria's latest movements blew up the mind of Robert and his other subordinates.
Because they never saw such a prodigal lady before. Even those noble ladies of City B and Capital could not compare to Maria in this matter. What gave them more shock was that not her prodigal attitude but her superior business plan. Because Robert's sub-ordinates somehow could collect the initial draft of Maria's plan. This plan amazed Robert and his interest grew even more for Maria.
His sub-ordinates who had some doubts about Maria's ability , felt that they got a silent slap on their face. On the other hand Robert's thoughts were totally different from his sub-ordinates. Because he was proud of his future wife and wanted to block other people's path to get to know Maria. Thus he started to feel excited and thought that after waiting 30 years God gave him a precious jewel to him. He considered himself a lucky person. If his subordinates knew his thoughts , they would vomit blood. Brian thought that Maria was really a special girl. So his boss's life would be more colourful.
Thus Robert prepared money for Maria and ordered hi sub-ordinates to help Maria with the money matter. Whenever Maria would need it , he could help. However he forgot one point here. Maria still did not him , as well as his identity. So would she need his money? Even if she was short of money , she would ask her brother or Mike or her friends in City F
One week passed very quickly. Last week Maria and her friends were the busiest people in City F. They had to check everything personally for their new business. Even Aiden , Kate and Ella were also busy and helped Maria to shoulder her works. In this way they could gain experiences and this would help them in City B. Because of their work nature , Maria and her friends could not cook food for themselves. So they went to either the He Family or Moore Family for their lunch and dinner. Both families became more happy with them.
Two days before the auction , the court's final hearing took place. The result was as expected. Cindy, Jack, Eva, Harry and Shawn were convicted for their serious crimes and got life imprisonment. As for Martin and Grey Family , their crimes were not as serious as Cindy. Thus they got several years in prison due to their crimes. Because of their illegal deals and tax evasion , their business and properties went to the government. Then the government would auction off those properties. Speaking of Eva's father , he was fired from official job and also lost his political career. Since his matter was sensitive , his matter was personally handled by the government.
Not only Martin and Grey Family did many illegal deals but also they fooled many government procedures. In this way they make their properties double. In the end their life long dream shuttered before it came true and they had to live the rest of their life as a criminal , even if they completed their punishment. Also their future life was completely black due to their arrogance.
After the court verdict was out , many reporters published the final news about the sensational case of City F. When citizens learned the final verdict of the court , they were so happy that they expressed their emotions through social media platforms. Even City F's new mayor and other honest officers felt that they cracked a million dollar lottery. This kind of situation never happened before.
After that the news about the auction was revealed within the business circle. Not many people knew about this matter. However Joseph talked to the relevant officer about this matter and expressed his intention. Then he talked for half an hour about this matter. First the officer did not agree immediately. Because there were many properties. Half an hour later the officers agreed with Joseph. Because Joseph said that the buyer party had money and she was a rich lady who was kidnapped by Tony Grey. Due to this information and Joseph's trust , he agreed happily. Because he knew that Joseph would not recommend any kind of person to him. Otherwise Joseph would not come to him for that person or would not talk half an hour for that person. After reaching a verbal agreement , Joseph set tomorrow's afternoon time.
Then that officer again assured Joseph and the call came to an end. Joseph sighed in relief after talking to that officer and called Maria immediately to inform the news. When Maria got Joseph's call , she received his call without any delay.
"Hi boss. How's everything? Did you take your vacation?" Maria teased.
"My grandma June, why do you tease me so much? I just relaxed my nerves but my stupid teammates brought me another clue. I did not think before that this kind of connection was between those people. I still need your suggestion. My brain cannot handle another big pressure right now. How's your day?" Joseph said with a tired tone.
"I'm good , boss. Just got more work and having a busy day. You know I have to set my business matter within 6 months , even Jason is a busy person. How's your health?" Maria said.
"The last few days were hectic for me and my teammates. Furthermore those big fishes and other people's subordinates are here for clues we found. Me and my teammates had to walk carefully. Otherwise you and Jason will be called to identify our bodies. So you should know how tough a situation we are in. Now things are relaxing." Joseph said in a relax manner.
"What do you mean by 'getting relaxed'? You and your team should be free from those big fish chains, right? What is happening? Tell me in detail." Maria asked with an anxious tone.
"Relax, Maria. Nothing serious happened. It's just that some powerful people sent their subordinates to keep them up to date. Sometimes we feel suspicious about their motive. Still we know nothing about their background. That's why we cannot relax our nerves fully. We cannot even take a holiday. On the other hand my stupid teammate found a clue. I'm thinking that it may be a trap which is laid by those people. Also do not come to my office by the front door. Tomorrow afternoon we will talk about this matter after we finish our official matter. What do you say?" Joseph said with a frustrating tone.
"I understood. Are those people connected to those big fishes? Did things proceed as we wanted? Did you start investigating those guys?" Maria said without calmness.
"Calm down, Maria. These subordinates are not from those big fishes or connected with them. I still do not know their real identity yet. I already sent people to investigate those subordinates. My people will need more time. If your people help me , then we can get a report earlier. However I have to tell you that these subordinates came from powerful families. One group secretly started to help my team after coming here. Thus we are still on the safe side. As for your matter , it is already 60% done. Tomorrow is our appointment with that officer. So be prepared. I will tell you about the appointment place later." Joseph said in detail.
"Thank you so much , boss. I really appreciate your help. Don't worry. I will send my people to help you. They will arrive at your office in a few hours. I already sent their real photo and information. Again thanks a lot." Maria said happily.
"You are welcome. However all of these things did solve easily with your help. Although you came to us with this case , you forgot that we already started working in this case much earlier. You just gave us a huge clue box which connected many links and saved our huge efforts and time. So me and my team should say 'thank you' to you. In return I can do this small favour for you. Don't make us outsiders by saying those 'thanks' words. We are still a team. Now as your boss, I will give you a 15 day vacation to solve your recent major problems. Then you can come to the team. So don't worry so much about this matter." Joseph said with a smile.
"Okay , boss. I understood. I'm very happy to meet you, boss. You and your team are really helpful to me. So I still have to thank you and your team. If I had to do this on my own , I would face many difficulties. Thus your team is really efficient in this way. See you tomorrow. Don't stay up late. Be safe and healthy. Bye." Maria said with a wide smile.
"You also take care. Do not pressure yourself too much. Bye." Joseph said. After that Joseph disconnected the call and went to his teammates to inform about Maria's people arrival. Also he had to inform his team about Maria's matter. Because every member of his team was excited to meet Maria's people. They were also hopeful of their new progress.
After the call disconnected , Maria contacted her subordinates and ordered them to go to Joseph's office to solve their problems. They agreed without hesitation and left their base. They arrived at 4:30 pm in City F's airport and went directly to Joseph's office location. They had Joseph and his team's information and photos. Thus they would not have any problem. On the other side Joseph got Maria's subordinates information and shared with his teammates. After reading the information , Joseph and his team got a shock. They never thought that their little sister Maria would give this kind of surprise. However they liked it very much.
