Chapitre 172: 3.50

A loud screech broke through the forest, not too far off in the direction we were heading to. Birds flocked to the sky simultaneously, causing a shiver down my spine. 

A female and male orc, who were the scouts, came running to speak hurriedly to Dax. Qixu moved close to my side, grabbing my hand and giving it a tight squeeze.

"System boost my hearing," I ordered internally. 

"It's massive General, practically eating the whole village."

"A snake?" Dax asked, his voice cold.

"Yes, yes, it spits acid, we dared not approach it first."

"Okay, take a rest, gather your wits," Dax patted both their shoulders, then turned back to Juarv, who was second in command.  "We will have to deal with this, we cannot just walk by."

"I agree General, but the Lady Phoenix-"

"She can handle herself," he smiled smugly, then beckoned over everyone, including Qixu and me.
