Chapitre 84: Hurt Heart

Kameron's POV ...

I had taken a long run and only got back home well after sunset. I had taken a shower and paced around my room for the last hour and a half. The run had helped some but I still felt uneasy. I hadn't spoken nor heard from Callie in hours and I was going stir crazy.

It was taking everything in me not to rush to the lodge to go and find her. I needed to respect her decision even if I didn't like it.

Being with Callie had taught me that couldn't always get my way, no matter how much I wanted it. I needed to learn patience and be okay with finding a middle ground.

Callie wasn't some subordinate that I could boss around. She was my equal and I hadn't treated her like one earlier today.

I didn't know what to do. I knew this fight wouldn't break us because we were stronger than that but I didn't like the distance it had created between us.
