"A human? Hmm, it seems the alpha-king found a pet... an interesting one," the man said with a smirk.

[My heart rebelled but there's nothing I can do but keep my mouth shut, yet it's not enough to keep my mind from screaming. ]

A pet? Did he call me a pet?! This guy is crazy! Can't he see that I'm human?! I exclaimed in my mind.

Because of my irritation, I didn't realize my grip on Drake's hand tightened, and these changes in my movements did not escape his keen sense.

Drake's hand raised to prevent the man from approaching me and said, "One more step and I will slash your throat!" then he pushed the guy and added, "Perhaps you have forgotten who I am and what I can do?"

[The group of witches standing on the side made a move because of Drake's action. Everyone chanted an unknown language with their hands raised and pointing in our direction.]
