Chapitre 98: Lily Cardale

"Why would any male species ever reject a woman physically?" 

"She might not be that attractive," To Elvina's question, the brunette answered with a shrug. 

Elvina narrowed her eyes, "Do you think I am not attractive?" 

The woman's eyes widened, "Of course you are... Oh, you were talking about yourself, My Lady?" She laughed, "Lily assumed that it was just a casual question." 

"Your name is Lily," Elvina nodded at the information that slipped out of the woman.

The woman seemed dead drunk by this time and Elvina could not help but wonder why humans were such fools. How could this woman let her guard down in front of two strangers?

Maybe they were some drug dealers who might force her into prostitution. She was a writer so she should be familiar with such crime shows tropes, no?

As if Claire could read her mind, she whispered, "That's the beauty of the world. This thing is not foolishness, it's called trust."
