Chapitre 31: Chapter 30
Akatsuki and the girls were sitting in a family restaurant. A common place with not too many people.
It was afternoon. So not many people would be there anyway.
"So, I wanted to talk about you three coming here. Who was it that proposed this plan?" Akatsuki asked with a somewhat severe tone.
"Well, it was actually us giving his majesty the king a new idea. It was a plan that Leah thought of and I proposed." Aisha answered.
"Haahhhh. You know, you coming here is in itself is a pain. You gave me a shock." (A)
"Sorry. But you are no good. You just vanished. Do you know how much we searched for you." Aisha said.
"Sorry. But I had some things to take care of. Oh, Mizuki, this all is probably not making any sense to you." Akatsuki asked Mizuki.
"No. I got most of it. After all, I asked about them." Mizuki answered.
"Ohh." Akatsuki gave a blank comment.
"But, you said you are going on a trip. Why is that?" (M)
"Just felt like it. I think I should invite your father too." Akatsuki said with a smile.
"My dad? But why?" Mizuki was curious.
"It's a guys trip. And I thought that we should deepen our relationship. After all, we are neighbors." Akatsuki said that.
"Okay. But I don't know what to say." Mizuki was troubled.
"Don't worry. I will ask him." Akatsuki told her not to worry.
They all had some light snack there. Akatsuki treated them. And after getting out he went to invite his friend.
So Mizuki and girls were going back home.
But Aisha asked her questions on the way back.
"What is Hawaii?" She asked.
"It is a tropical island. Famous as a travel destination." Mizuki answered.
"Ohhh. Akatsuki did love traveling." Belle said.
"Did he travel a lot there too?" Mizuki asked.
"Yeah. He went to visit all the popular places. He basically dragged us all around the world." (A)
"Oh. But it is quite expensive. It costs a lot just for a single person. But he said that 4 or 5 would be going. Does he have that much money?" (M)
"Hey, have you noticed one thing?" Leah suddenly cut in and asked.
"What?" All of them asked her.
"Aisha, have you not thought about it? Remember, whenever we went to a trip, he would be the one paying for us. But he never did anything to earn money. How did he get the money then?" (L)
"Now that you mention it, he never had a job. Nor did he work as an adventurer. And yet he paid for all of us wherever we went." Aisha was thinking, holding her head.
Mizuki glanced at them. Those three were thinking but Belle wasn't actually thinking. That's the impression Mizuki got.
"Is it that weird?" She asked.
"Yes. Our currency is pretty different from this world. But a rough estimate would be like our lowest value coin which is an iron coin has the value of 10 yen. That's how it works." Aisha tried to explain.
"Your lowest value coin is our 10 yen. What is the highest then?" (M)
"Our platinum coins have a value of approximately 10 million yen. But the highest coin is white gold coin. Though its value changes a lot." (A)
"Heeehhh. That is pretty much." Mizuki was baffled to hear that.
Even one single platinum coin would make you a millionaire.
"But Akatsuki always had gold and platinum coins on him. He got in a lot of trouble when he needed a change." Leah giggled when saying that.
She must have remembered the past.
And they reached home. When they entered and sat in the hall room, Mizuki's mother came.
"Are you free?" She asked.
"Yeah." Mizuki answered.
"Well, actually the neighbor invited all of us for a tea party. She said that she wanted to meet everyone." She said that but she had a worried look on her face.
"She did. So shouldn't we go?" Mizuki asked.
"Us too?" Aisha asked.
"Yeah. Apparently, you three are related to them. She wanted to greet you three. Well, that's what she said anyway." She said.
"What about Nana?" Mizuki asked about her sister.
"She is here too. If you are ready then we will go now." She said.
And thus all of them left for Akatsuki's house.
It was a house that is pretty common. And his mother came to greet them.
"Hello there. Nice to see that you are all here." Juno smilingly said.
"Sorry for the intrusion." Mizuki and the others said bowing there head head a little.
"Come in." (J)
Juno lead them all to the reception room. There two more figures could be seen.
And Mizuki was shocked. It was Lilith. She saw her talk to Akatsuki. And another girl who looked like Lilith.
"Oh let me introduce you. She is Lilith. Our good friend and that's her daughter, Sakura." Juno introduced the both of them.
And they nodded at them.
They all took seats.
"Let's get this started then." Juno was smiling from the very beginning.
"So what is this all about?" (L)
"Well, Akatsuki is actually going on a trip. So I thought that we should too. And then, we moved in recently. So inviting our neighbors would help deepen our bonds, right?" (J)
"That certainly is true. But isn't that too much?" Mizuki's mom hesitated.
"No. It'll be fine. Akatsuki will invite your husband to go with them. And we will go ourselves." (J)
"We are going different ways." Mizuki's mom asked.
"Yes. Akatsuki said that theirs would be a guys trip. So we should go on a all girls trip too." (J)
"I see." She stopped asking questions but still had a complicated face.
"Juno, give us the whole story." (L)
"Well, Akatsuki confessed to a girl and got rejected. So he is throwing a party." (J)
This news made all of them look at Juno.
They were thinking, 'Is that's guy okay?' with their eyes wide open.
"Yeah. And also, I wanted to meet them." Juno pointed at Aisha and gang.
They all stiffened.
"No need to look so nervous. I just want to know how my son was in the other world." (J)
"He was fine. Just a bit crazy but alright." Aisha answered.
"He left home one day with a note, 'I am going on a trip. Don't search for me.' And he went missing for five years." Juno sighed.
"Five years?" All of them said in unison.
"Yes. He came back about 5 months ago. All tattered and dirty. I was almost on the verge of fainting, you know?" Juno puffed her cheeks.
They all showed a wry smile at her. But they couldn't say anything.
But then Juno turned to Lilith.
"Hey Lilith, I heard that you have been pestering Akatsuki about marrying Sakura-chan." (J)
"Yeah. I would be at peace if my daughter is with you." Lilith showed a sigh of relief and said that.
"But isn't Akatsuki a bit too old for her. She is only in high school. Not to mention his past." Juno showed a little concern.
"I know everything. And she doesn't mind. So it should be fine." Lilith told her not to worry.
"Unnn...ummmmm....can I ask you....one thing?" Mizuki asked and quite hesitantly.
"No need to be so nervous." Juno told her.
"Then, why are we all gathered here? It more feels like we are only talking about Akatsuki." (M)
"True. But that boy is a naughty boy after all. So we have to keep our eyes on him." (J)
"Naughty?" Mizuki tilted her head and asked.
"Yes. You see, he has no confidence." (J)
"No confidence. What about it?" (M)
"He is too uncertain. He doesn't believe in himself. He thinks that he is not worth anything. He even asked me once whether I love him or not. But how would I react if my son suddenly asked me that?" (J)
"That's a big problem. But he really is like that. Then what about his act. He seems so confident." (M)
"That is just that boy putting up a strong face. If you push him hard enough, he will fall. But that must be one of his cute sides. After all, he lets me dote on him as much as I want. Though, he doesn't talk to me for a few days after that." Juno said with a happy face.
She really talks a lot about her son is the kind of impression Mizuki and everyone else got.
"Still he is nice to everyone. That's the reason I am worried. He is too trusting. He doesn't question anyone at all. And he will believe anything you say. So I am worried that he might het deceived by a bad woman." (J)
"A bad woman? But why? He seemed to handle women well." It was Aisha who spoke.
She had seen Akatsuki in their world dealing with a lot of women. So she thought that he was probably used to it.
"Ahh…..that was him shutting off his senses. You see, my husband is actually quite the womanizer. And whenever Akatsuki stops thinking he becomes a natural gigolo. That's another trouble for me." Juno held her temples.
Everyone else made a wry smile. Because Akatsuki's deepest secrets were being revealed by the second. And he doesn't even know about it.
"But you know he has a bad habit!" Juno complained.
"A bad habit? Something like that happened too." (M)
"Yeah. You see, he loves yuri." (J)
"Yuri? What is that?" Mizuki asked that but Lilith was smirking and Mizuki's mother was kind of blushing.
"Yuri is actually lesbianism. When a girl is with a girl. He loves those things." (J)
"Wha?" The young girls became as red as tomatoes.
"Wait, don't you know that there are kids here?" Mizuki's mother told her in a loud voice.
"I know. But they are not that young. It's only natural for them to know." (J)
She didn't refute anymore and Lilith turned to Mizuki.
"I know that you are thinking of his good but it isn't nice to sneak up on people and eavesdrop." Lilith told her that.
Mizuki became speechless and just stared at her with a troubled look.
