The night was inky and the stars were dim.
Colin stood next to the crackling bonfire, his field of vision filled with the bright lights of the military camp.
"What are you thinking about?"
Colin turned his head to see Duke St. Gregorian approaching with a charming smile on his face.
"Oh, nothing much." Colin sighed as his gaze shifted towards the deep western sky. "I was just thinking that given the progression speed of the Orc army, they should be nearing Luwal Valley…"
"Really? That's great! The time for our vengeance has finally come!" Duke St. Gregorian commented, his eyes burning passionately as he stared westward, a comforting sigh escaping his lips.
Colin had nowhere near as much confidence as Duke St. Gregorian.
As the Orc army drew closer, he started to feel increasingly uneasy.
Of course, he didn't have any objections to the battle strategy proposed by Marquis Garcia.
But just because the strategy was sound, didn't mean that its implementation would go as smoothly.
