"What?" Ava frowned. "How did he end up missing? I thought he was in that plane?"
"We lost contact with him a couple of minutes ago." The shadow answered inside her head.
"And that doesn't happen?" she asked.
"Never."
Ava frowned. She looked at Baba. "Something is wrong."
"What— What happened? And what is that?"
"I don't know."
**BANG**
"I have sensed someone... or something" The Shaman deadpanned when he saw the shadow. "That— thing— where is Matthew?" he asked Ava.
"The Shadow just told me that he is missing."
"It lost connection to its master?"
Ava furrowed her brows. It looked like the Shaman know something about this shadow. "Yes," she answered.
"What happened?" the Shaman asked Ava.
"It said— can't you ask him?"
"It would only communicate to whoever it was guarding."
"And that's me," Ava said.
"Yes. Meaning, only you can hear its voice."
Ava nodded.
