The note reads: "The chairman is still free. He was not in jail."

Obviously, it's not Rodrigo Guillermo the note was talking about. Although he is the "chairman", Jerrod knows that it was the former chairman of their school that was being talked about.

It is obviously a note for Larissa, but she didn't think it was for her as it was already long when she last thought about the "chairman".

Guillermos has a lot of enemies and insecure individuals who want to pull the family down, which causes Larissa to conclude easily that the note is for Guillermos.

Jerrod snatched the note and tore it into pieces. He said, "Get dressed, Rissa."

"Are we going somewhere?"

"Let's stay at my parent's house."

"Why?"

"It's safer there."

Jerrod looked concerned and anxious, so she didn't argue anymore and left the house with him. She even volunteered to drive because Jerrod can't focus on the road.

Jerrod's mind was in turmoil.
