That was what reigned after the king's brutal display of power. The method of execution he had chosen alone was very disturbing and domineering. Some of the civilians watching from the side even keeled over and started retching as they found the king's actions too difficult to stomach. Likewise, the man's decisiveness had taken his elders and soldiers by surprise. The king hadn't even hesitated before killing the guard captain. It was almost as if the guard was insignificant in his eyes. As if the man was an ant that he could crush beneath his boots without remorse anytime he wanted.

"What strength! That man must be a humanoid beast to kill a fully armored guard with his bare hands like that." One of the viking soldiers standing behind their captain said after he had overcome his momentary shock and some of his colleagues agreed with tentative nods and their mouths still hanging open in shock.
