"Wait, did I say that?" Joanna asked, pretending not to remember what she said. She stood up to leave but only to be pulled back on her seat by Jocelyn sitting by her side.

"Yes, I heard that too," Rachel and Jocelyn supported as if they could read each other's minds.

"I was trying to say that I would train even harder so that I will become even more powerful. The same applies to you too Jocelyn. You can't afford to slack even the slightest bit since it is very obvious that you were her target," Joanna managed to come up with the perfect lies to save herself this time around.

"Miss Jocelyn was the target?" Carl yelled before Jocelyn could say anything. He moved closer to the centre table the ladies occupied.
