Before Alberto could do anything to save the dying Kayra, he heard the violent sound of a heart pumping.

He was obviously surprised by the sound and tried to block the bite mark on her neck so that more blood would not flow out. The blood loss would only make the probability to save her thin. 

However, a powerful vampire he was, who also had qilin genes, it was nearly impossible to repair the damaged flesh which was bitten by his poisonous fangs unless… he was willing to do a little sacrifice.

In normal times his food would die in one minute after he bit them but Kayra had overcome that ordeal because it was already way past one minute and she still had the signs of life!

And for that, Alberto was grateful or else he did not know how to explain to his cousin brother, Levin, how she had died when he was supposed to take her away from the Doctorio Planet!
