"Mohni" A familiar voice interrupted her thoughts. It's brought her back to the present. Slowly, she looked at the door to see who it was. 

"Varun?" She asked, while her eyes widened in shock. He was standing at the door with an expression that made her scared. He must have stood there long enough to hear all that they said about her. "I can explain, please."

"Explain what?" He took a step forward as he entered the room with anger and disappointment. Varun had trusted this woman the most in the world and now, she turned out to be his worst nightmare. "Are they telling the truth? Did I hear them correctly or not?"

Mohni stared at the man whom she thought was soft and will never get angry at her. The skin in between his forehead pinched and he looked more like his angry son, Karan. -her worst nightmare.
