Chapitre 47: A Contract With The Forest God

"You're more than a thousand years old?", Shiro asked, shocked by what he just learned.

"Was that the only thing you heard?", the elf looked at him questioningly.

"No! I mean, I've never seen a person that old before… Don't misunderstand me…", Shiro quickly tried to defend himself. But he was still thinking of the elf as a human, so this confusion and awe were understandable.

"Haha, I'm kidding. But, yes, I am 1000 years old," the elf said.

"How do you live so long?"

"Well, I guess I'm just lucky. Not a lot of elves can live up to 1000 years old."

Shiro's jaw dropped. 

"So, you're basically the oldest elf alive?"

"Indeed. And the last elf."

The elf poured more tea inside his cup and took a sip of it again.

"Do you still sit here and talk to the Forest God?", this sounded like a dumb question.

After all, the elf kept mentioning that the Forest God is dead, so how could he talk with him.
