The entire mansion was on red alert as the tension filled the air. All the guards wore their full battle gear, ready to fight for their lives. Nobody was taking chances, not when many lives were at risk.

Although their enemies did not declare any threats, Grego still would like to be prepared for any eventuality. He had no assurance of the King's intention for coming into his home. King Charles might have said something along the line of peace, but he could not simply believe it.

"Why are you sending me away again? I want to be here. I want to see my sister. If they attack us, I will fight with you." Resha shouted when he asked her to leave the premises and spend some time in her friend's house where she would be away from this place and safe.
