Chapitre 115: CXV  

Ivrea could not imagine herself in this situation. She was a city person, and being out in the wild was not something she had foreseen doing with her life. Let alone sleeping in this animal-infested forest without anything to protect them.

As she gathered woods and some dried materials with her friend that they would use for the fire, she noticed movements not far from her position. She believed it came from the bushes. It could be the wind or some animal hiding behind the lush leaves.

"Whose there?" She did not see it. Still, she sensed something else behind the shrub as the leaves slightly rattled. It was watching her. She could feel it.

Her knees began to shake as her eyes searched for whatever was lurking in the growing shadows. But she could not find anything. Quickly, she gathered enough that she could carry and ran back with the rest of her group.
