Chapitre 136: - Discussion with the Nightblade (3)

"Have you thought? Do you understand?"

For days, the Nightblade had returned to Gus' cell, and for days they had repeated the same conversation, to the point that if he had it once more Gus thought he was going to vomit. Unlike when he had woken up when he first arrived at the prison without anything, he was being given water and food. Whether they were treating him like they would treat all of their prisoners, or whether they were just giving him sustenance because he had been chosen to fight the one that they referred to as the champion, Gus was unsure. But it did at least provide him with an opportunity to escape, one that would not be present if he had not been given food. All he had to do was be given a chance to escape, and he would immediately pounce on the opportunity.
