Chapitre 48: Bad Day

December 19th, 2022.

I looked at my calendar and held the pen that dangled next to it over my wall, I usually crossed the days before I went to bed. But today was one that deserved to be crossed off before it began. Not a glimpse – not even from afar, no way.

I wasn't going to see my mate today, no matter what.

I sighed long, wondering if I was punishing him or myself with that ridiculous request I made in that hospital, I forgot that Oli was right behind me, still squeaking for my attention, but my throat was still itching like crazy and I wasn't in the mood to talk too much.

"Why would you go when Christmas break is only a few days away! Just take the week off you stubborn girl! Are you even listening to me!" She was panicking more than usual.

"Mom, why wouldn't I go to school when I feel perfectly normal?"
