"A lab, as in someone was intentionally experimenting on humans?"

Li's face hardened. His silence was enough of an answer for me.

"What happened to that person afterward." I hope mom told him that much. I felt a wave of pain assaulting my body when I tried to imagine how much more she had lied to me about.

"The subject of that experiment adjusted to the new situation and stopped needing the shots after a while. Again, this was a human's reaction to that type of blood."

We experimented on two werewolves today without any fricking data to back it up.

Anxiety came down hard on me, my palms got sweaty as a strange desire to hit my brother almost possessed me, then I remembered how he kept saying that he would take responsibility for the consequences when I gave my blood to the brown wolf.

What was the other option anyway?

Wasn't whatever that was about to happen to both werewolves better than a death sentence at the young age of sixteen?
