Chapter 32: The Calm Before…
It'll take a few months to digest Philips guidance. He can buy the knowledge but it's gonna take a while to turn it into a part of his skill.
During this time, he didn't do much. Make some movies, some manga and anime, reject a few celebrities and media approaches, settling the water crisis, teasing Skye, lovey dovey time with Gwen and other daily life stuff.
"Hey you bastard. How dare you make Jiraiya die like that! " Gwen storms in while he is drawing the next episode of Naruto, and hits him in the head.
Unfairly punished, he blames Kishimoto in his heart. But it's not for very long. Anime is especially popular in this society." The dry arid land of animated entertainment now finally has rain"
He couldn't attempt the next quest yet, as the time is still not right. After breaking into Hydra secure channel, he misleads them everytime they want to make a move on his family.
Zola to Hydra : " Knight has no interest in power, they don't care who the ruler is. But if we make premature moves, they will retaliate.We can wait until the insight project is completed."
"They are relentless aren't they " he said as he controlled Zola. This month there's been 5 attempts to make contact with his family.
"Dad has finished the plan to high society, that's why their ass couldn't sit still." A sly smile appeared on his face.
Rewards from the previous quest were sorted out. The next day after he finishes his quest, he goes to the island. There, he summoned the pokemons.
There's Charizard, Meowth, Dugtrio, Psyduck, Arcanine, Ponyta, Slowpoke, Mr Mime, Tauros, Eevee, Flareon, Jolteon, Vaporeon, Dratini and Dragonite. He let them make their home on the island.
"Whoa, they are magnificent." He exclaims as the creatures have some differences from their anime form. When he summoned the pokemons, a letter appeared to him out of thin air following the reward.
He reads the letter. "To whomever this may concern.
" Hi, My name is Mrs J. As you expected, I'm also a transmigrator. I ended up in an anime based universe."

There's some introduction about her life, then she said the purpose of her letter.
"The pokemons that you get are the retired ones. I saved them from an underground fighting ring, where the pokemons need to fight to their death."
Ryan is shocked. He takes a second glance at the pokemons. Eevee lost one of its legs. Charizard's wings are full of holes and his body full of scars. Arcanine lost one of its eyes.
He crumpled the letter a little bit as his emotion became unstable. He continues reading.
"I tried. I tried putting them back into the wild. But these pokemons have been with people since they were very young."
"Even if they are ordered to fight to their death, they still love humans. Even if they were sold by their owner to the underground market, they still love humans."
"I hope that you can show these creatures love. Just like them to us." He tried to pry away his eyes from the letter, but he couldn't do it.
A soft feeling occurs on his legs. He sees Eevee is touching him while going "Muie muie" He picks up the creature who had been limping to get where he is.
"From now on, this is your home. I will take care of you". Eevee smiles as she got picked up "Muie Muie"

In a certain universe. "This is the last one in Johto region. After this we're starting in the Kanto region." A blue haired man said to his partner and lover.
A woman with long pink hair nodded. "James, are you sure you are okay with this?" She decided to betray the organisation and stand on the side of pokemons instead.
James said "I will follow you till the end of time my love". Jessi kisses him passionately. Meowth said "Are you fighting or what?". He has been itching to fight.
Jessi smiles. They kick out the entrance to the illegal fighting ring. "Prepare for trouble!" "And make it double!"

The yellow grade martial art he got is called Dragon Slaying Art. It has sword techniques and qi meditation techniques that can make you become a qi master.
The sword technique can be implemented though, but it needs some practice for it as he needed to develop the skill on his own. It's a martial art that can bring you to the upper limit of the qi condensation stage.
All his body now has its own energy, so the martial arts are forgotten by him. Being a cultivator sounds interesting but he has read a lot of fanfiction to know that it'll cause him a lot of trouble as another name for cultivation is the path to become a god.

Months pass by quickly, now the elf has already finished the island. The water project was completed a month before.

It took him only a few hours of work. But he didn't plan to sell it long term as the vibranium metal is only a small amount. "I needed them for my suit, and for the spaceship"
He also realises that the pokemons could make excellent substitutes for magic materials. Of course he didn't kill any, just harvested some scales, fur, feathers, whiskers, nails or fangs.
For example, a sword he makes using Arcanine fur as an added material would make the sword have flame properties. It's easier to put flame enchantment on them and the enchantment becomes stronger.
Eevee is walking normally now. He puts on a prosthetic for her as he made specially for the pokemons who lost their limbs. He's been buying some healing scrolls and medication, but it's hard to find some that are compatible.
"It's either I need to achieve a higher level of authority, or do a quest that has upper tier healing magic on it as a reward."
He experiments with energy weapons by using the knowledge 'Principle of energy in machines' he got from the trading site, and manages to make his own energy weapons that don't use cosmic cube energy or vibranium metal.
The plasma blaster, railgun, energy grenade are added into his power armor equipment. If he gets the weapons system from Halo world that would be nice, but the power suit is just the basic item with no add-ons.
Ryan doesn't do anything major after settling the water crisis. But Gwen did. In August, Knights Pharmaceutical came out with the cure for HIV disease, causing another media storm.
People thought that he came out with the cure, but when people found out it was his girlfriend who did it, they were idolised as a genius celebrity couple.
Gwen is not reclusive like Ryan, so she did give out a couple of interviews, and she didn't shy away when people ask her about the mysterious Ryan.
Finally people know a bit about Ryan's personality. In the interview, the reporter asks Gwen about Ryan's newest project, in which she answers that he didn't plan much about his actions.
"When they go on a vacation, Ryan is shocked by the price of water there because of the scarcity, so he then starts the water plant project when he gets back".
It causes a laugh from the public, but people are really grateful for him. The price of food and water has never been this cheap. There's talk amongst the governments of the world to make water free.
Ryans eccentricity is making people's lives easier. Because people can drink from the ocean now, they think twice before dumping trash into it, making the oceans cleaner than ever!
"You know Gwen, I like it better when people call me mysterious instead of a goof." Ryan pouted.
She had talked about some of his embarrassing incidents in the media. Like how he cried watching animation, how he talks to himself when creating new movies , how it's easy to tease him, and more.
" I couldn't help it. I was tricked." Gwen comforted him and blamed it all on the media. But he knows it because Hiddle talks about him hitting on May in front of her.
So this is her revenge of some sort. He couldn't actually say that he's kind to May because he liked her character in the previous life isn't it.
As he couldn't give a truly convincing reason back then, he suffers from it now. He swears he's gonna cast a bald curse on Hiddle someday."When did I ever hit on Aunt May?"
Gwen now works at Knight Pharmaceutical, which was created by Ryan in 2005. Instead of working at Oscorp as planned, she wants to help her future family instead. She manages to create the cure for HIV based on the data from the gene optimization fluid.
She is now researching to tackle a few more diseases that affect the immune system. The pharmaceutical company is what he founded when Kai was created. The doctor's knowledge contains a lot of new data for medical drugs.
He decided to take a break at the last quarter of the year. Go out and enjoy life as he didn't know how much the world turns to shit when the superhero era started. He and Gwen took a trip around the world.
Even Kai took a month off, and brought Skye to travel. They went to Disneyl… the Knightland theme park, went to European countries to play, enjoyed food from various places, and more. Skye greatly enjoys her time with Kai.
During the year, Kai is not idle. He popularised several medical techniques, procedures, went to teach at conferences, getting scouted by big hospitals and more.
He is now very famous in the medical community. Still, he continues working at his clinic. He didn't plan to do anything to change that for now.
Kai's essence energy growth makes his body, speed and constitution also increase. Now he'd reached 12x the strength of a normal human, lifting up to 5 tons of weight.
He does wonder what his stat is, but as he didn't have a player system, he could only get approximate guesses.
*Slash* He cuts the training dummy into two. He combined the Mount Hua swordplay and Dragon Killing art together. The elegance of Mount Hua plus the ferociousness of Dragon Killing makes his swordsmanship look like a beautiful violence.
He also sometimes visits the island to practice fighting while flying. The hippogriff, the Bakeneko, the spider, and the corpse vine roam free on the island when he visits, and they are making friends with the pokemons.
He never bought any more companion beasts after the first purchase. He plans to get to the epic stage first as all the companion beasts in the legendary stage are too weak compared to him. He keeps an open mind for a companion beast with special abilities though, but it's hard to find.
There's also one bad thing he did this year. It's not actually harmful, but he did it based on impulse. He decided to… make a Captain America movie.
"Basically it follows the plot of the first avenger", but he changes it name to Captain America: Legends Never Die. He hired Kevin Feige, Anthony and Joe Russo to produce the movie.
Last year he poached Quentin Beck, from Stark Industry, to become a VFX director for Knight's Entertainment.
Beck who is low on self esteem at the moment, had his research laughed at by other researchers, took Ryan's offer. He found his calling since then, and now founded his own VFX sub-company under Knight's.
Beck is also on the road to co-produce his own superhero movie called The Mysterio. An interdimensional warrior that is protecting the earth from the elemental.
Ryan decides to plan a universe, a marvel within marvel, with Kevin Feige. He didn't know how his actions will affect the future, but it's not bad if you think about it. He even planned for the X-men to show up.
When the film was released, it alarmed Shield and Hydra, as much information Ryan showed is close to the truth. Luckily, Ryan had sent a team to research the true era of Captain America by interviewing some veterans, so the suspicion died down.
'It was so much fun playing with these guys', he thought. May this not be a habit.
2008 starts quickly. '' So who's gonna come out first? ''
Side story 1.
Ryan is playing a guitar. Kai is on the keyboard. The elf is playing drums. All 3 of them are wearing sunglasses.
The elf is hitting the drumstick together. "One! Two! ONE TWO THREE FOUR!"
Ryan: I want to be… the very best.. Like no one ever was…
Kai : To catch them is my real test, to train them is my cause.
The elf : POKEMON! GOTTA CATCH THEM ALL!
Ryan : Wait, Gwen is calling me.
Kai : Come on man, this is like the third time you bail early.
Ryan : I couldn't help it. I have a girlfriend and you don't.
The elf : Dude, I got to say this. I think your girlfriend is breaking up the band. Kai and I have talked, unless you break up with her, you are out of the band.
Kai : *Nod*
Ryan : I dare you! Where will you find another vocalist and guitarist like me! (mockingly)
Kai : We already have a substitute.
Ryan :(in a high voice) Who? Who did you replace me with?
Kai and The elf is presenting the new member of the band to Ryan.
"Let's welcome... MEOWTH!"
The cat is strumming the guitar string, playing the melody skillfully. "Meowth,Thaaat's Right!"
