CHAPTER HUNDRED NINE
Yuan inwardly smiled but he looked grim and thoughtful on the outside. Appearing stern and even more cold.
Feifei tightened his hold on Yuan's neck. He is nervous and his heart is beating at a very fast speed. He feels like anytime soon, his heart would jump out from his chest!
He is scared on how the truth would affect his relationship with Yuan, but oddly enough, he also felt relieved. Like a heavy load has been taken off from his chest.
He feels free somehow. He never thought his deception was like a chain weighing him down. Keeping him captive.
But the moment he started to tell the truth, he feels light and liberated.
Since, he has already started confessing, why not go all the way? If he would lose everything because of the truth, and end up being hated for his deception, so be it.
He will win Yuan back. Whatever the costs.
"I don't remember much of my childhood but I grew up dressing as a female ever since I can remember. I don't know why. I just know I should."
Hearing Feifei talking about his childhood, Yuan's attention was swiftly diverted.
"How much do you remember about your childhood?" Yuan asked carefully.
Feifei unconsciously frowned.
"My memory starts when I was five. I have always been with Aunt Meg. That's cousin Shen's mother. I don't remember my parents. Everytime I ask Aunt Meg, she would always cry. I couldn't bear seeing her stressed and worried. In the end, I stopped asking."
"Five?"
"Yes, five. I may forget most details of my five year old self, but I won't forget the age when I started to worship my Master."
Master? Yuan tilted his head in silent question.
"uhm. I worshipped a Master at the age of five. He is a Master of both Medicine and Poison." Feifei looked blankly at the wall behind Yuan.
"Come to think about it. I was already sleeping at that time when I was suddenly woken up by something. Its like I was pulled by an irresistible force. When I recovered my senses, I was already deep in the mountain! Strange..." Feifei muttered.
After awhile, Feifei shook his head to clear his mind and then continued.
"Anyway, I could not forget that experience. It was also at that time when I first met my Master wounded in a cave."
"Have you always have an affinity with forests or mountains?"
"Remember the time you came here and delivered my first parcel from home? You also went up the mountain to fetch me."
Yuan nodded and smiled.
"The day of our first kiss?" Yuan said with a straight face.
Feifei : !!!!
Feifei gave Yuan a glare then continued.
"The last time I went into the mountain was when you gave me that first parcel. The deep mountain somehow reminds me of my childhood. Something evil but welcoming at the same time. But its a memory that's...I can't fully grasp it. I don't know if its true or just my imagination."
Hearing Feifei's narration makes Yuan unsettled.
"Have you been wounded since young?"
"Of course! Is there a child who doesn't get hurt when they are out playing?"
"I meant bleeding. Do you always bleed?"
Feifei looked at Yuan's anxious expression. He is confused.
They are talking about his identity as a man. Why did they talk about his childhood instead? Is his childhood more important than his deception?
"Fei?"
Feifei cleared his throat.
"Yes, I get wounds and bleed."
Now its Yuan's turn to be confused.
"But I heal fast." Feifei unconsciously murmured in a very soft voice. As if talking to himself.
But Yuan clearly heard it.
LUP-DUP. LUP-DUP
Yuan can hear his heart beating strongly.
"How fast?"
Feifei winced in surprised.
"huh?"
"How fast do you heal?"
Feifei thought for a moment. Then he looked at Yuan. He trusts him completely.
Why not tell all he wants to know?
"When I was young, my wounds would completely heal after two or three days. As if the wound has never existed. That is, it sometimes depend on how big the cut is. As I got older, almost...never? The wound heals right before my eyes."
Feifei did not find his unusual healing speed as something strange. It has always been like that. For him, his quick healing is just a normal occurrence.
But talking about his healing speed with Yuan, he seems to think it isn't as normal as he once thought?
Yuan stared at Feifei.
"Do you have magic?"
"No. Well, at least none that I've known of." Feifei whispered. This conversation is really off.
And very unexpected. Shouldn't Yuan reprimand and criticize him for his deception?
Feifei looked at Yuan with a baffled face.
Yuan also stared back at Feifei. But his thoughts were elsewhere.
So, Feifei really doesn't know he has magic inside him. And subconsciously, he doesn't repel from the thought of people wielding magic.
Is that why Feifei is more accepting of him when he went savage and showed his power?
Yuan looked at Feifei strangely.
Who the hell is Feifei?!
