"I am sorry, Kaley" He told me

"Why are you sorry? You shouldn't be" I smiled quickly. "No one should have to apologize for love. You don't ever have to apologize for loving her…for loving him, for loving your children"

"Kaley…"

"Noah. Stop"

I didn't want sadness. If this was indeed my last time with him, I didn't want tears and sadness…I would rather go out with a bang.

Both figuratively and literally but I knew Noah would sooner develop three heads than screw me senseless like I want.

But it was a good thought, one I lingered on for a while until he looked at me like he could read my mind.

There was something…I can't quite put my finger on it, about the way he looked at me that was both confusing and exhilarating at the same. He looked at me with longing but at the same time with restraint.

I wished…briefly that I had his superpower but honestly, I don't want to have his superpower.
