I watched Cassie's disappearing figure and bit down on my lower lip as hard as I could.

Have you ever been told something that left you speechless and frozen at the same time?

Well, she just did.

I tried to get my wandering thoughts to slow down, just enough for the rest of me to catch up but it didn't.

My heart raced and my mind chased it.

"I gotta get out of here!"

I turned around as soon as my feet obeyed my command and I was in my living room in seconds.

The twins were there playing with their toys…well, Miracle played with her toys while Xavier played chess with himself.

"Momma! Momma! See, I win!" He yelled in excitement, his little green eyes twinkling with excitement.

"Hmm…good job, buddy"

"Mommy, where is Daddy?" Miracle asked as soon as I looked at her.
