Chapitre 30: Exterminator

Alex's time at school passed without anything eventful happening. Richards friends did nothing but glare at him occasionally but Richard always stepped in and told them to stop.

After what felt like an eternity to Alex the school day finally ended and he was able to head home. He had declined Tom's request to walk together because he had something he wanted to think about on the way home and didn't want to be distracted.

'I need to raise my level but to do that I need to kill people... but where am I supposed to find someone to kill without becoming a mass murderer who attacks innocent people? Should I wander around alleyways at night and wait for someone to try and mug me? Maybe I- Hold on, do I have to kill humans? Wouldn't animals work as well?'

With this sudden realization, Alex turned into a nearby alleyway, something he never did before but found himself doing quite often these days. His goal was to find a rat or, with a little luck, multiple.
