Chapitre 25: Chapter 25: No More Lies

Diego aka Arrow’s POV

“Sh*t!” I punched the wall.

I let her run. I let her leave me. I let her leave my house dressed in my dress shirt, her hair a beautiful mess from our lovemaking from last night. Something I had every intention of reminding her of this morning if it wasn’t for waking up and finding thirty-missed calls from Marcell, and ten calls from my uncle.

If it wasn’t for this d*mned family, the woman I was irrevocably in love with wouldn’t be running out of my house with tears running down her cheeks. She’d be running to my bed begging for me. I cursed as my phone rang again.

“Do you want me to stop her?” Marcell asked me as soon as I clicked ANSWER on my cell.

“No,” I said, completely defeated, dropping my head back against the wall. One with a nice-sized hole in it now. “Let her go. Get one of the men to give her a ride home—tell him to pose as an Uber or something.”

“I’m coming in,” Marcell barked out, hearing the despair in my voice.
