When Defiance turned around, she came face to face with Jeremy and he was dressed in a tuxedo and a smile.

He looked dashing and she couldn't help but smile.

"Jeremy" she called out. 

She was indeed surprised to see Jeremy standing in front of her after what her overprotective uncle did to him.

"You are here" she said it like she needed more explanation to why such a thing was happening.

"I am" he answered.

he had his signature one sided smile on. 

"Why?"

Defiance needed an explanation.

"Shouldn't I be here?" He answered her question with one of his own.

"I thought…" Defiance started to say but stopped and paused for a few seconds. She wanted to tell him she thought that after the encounter with her uncle that he would keep a distance away from her but changed her mind, it was never good to look a gift horse in the mouth.
