Chapitre 6: Chapter 5: The Movies
"Bruce, Martha over here!"
My father spotted us and then called us over. He gave my mother a kiss and me a hug while walking us inside the movie theater to buy the tickets for the movie. He wanted to know what happened at the quirk doctor, and after my mother let him know that my quirk hadn't activated yet, he gave me words of encouragement.
"Don't worry Bruce when I was younger my quirk didn't activate until I was about 6 years old, so I know you'll be fine. The longer you wait to get something, the more you'll cherish it once you do get it. Don't you think honey?
"Yes, Thomas I think so too."
My mother agreed with my father's words of encouragement. After that, we all took a seat to watch the movie, which was made by a prominent director from America. The film was named "The Darkest Crow." It was supposedly a thriller about a mystical creature that possessed a man to get revenge for those who wronged it long ago. The possessed man in turn is trying to gain back control of his body and withstand the crow's temptation. Throughout the movie, my mother monitored my reactions to the film to make sure the movie wasn't too scary for me.
"How are you doing honey, are you okay?"
"Yeah mom, I'm enjoying it. It's also not that scary so I can handle it."
"Okay just let me know if you change your mind."
I nodded to my mother while continuing to watch the film. I then noticed my father leave the theater to take a phone call. After a few minutes, he came back and let us know that he had to go visit a patient who required urgent medical care that only he could provide.
"Bye dad, will we see you later?"
I asked my dad a question before he left.
"Yeah don't worry I'll see you tomorrow in the morning, and we'll do something fun this weekend. I promise."
My dad said before leaving. However, he come back a few minutes later, I guess he forgot something. He then let us know he had something for both of us.
"Martha, I forgot I bought a gift for Bruce and you that I got while traveling. I wanted to give you your gifts before I had to leave for work. Can you both follow me to my car?"
Martha agreed and we then followed him to his car. Once we got to his car my dad gave us our gifts. My mother received a pearl necklace, while I received a replica of All Might's suit. My mother was very happy with her gift and had a big smile. I on the other hand thanked my dad politely for his gift. All Might is the greatest hero on the planet and somebody I look up to. He's not the smartest hero but the most passionate, which attracts people towards him.
"No problem, I love you both and I feel bad about traveling so much lately, this little gift is just a token of my appreciation."
My dad stated before walking us to my mother's car. We parked in an isolated part of the area, we were running late from my doctor's appointment. We then took a shortcut through an alley, and then I noticed some kind of portal opening up out of nowhere.
