"You might be misunderstanding something."
Cedrick paused and took a deep breath.
"You might be my classmate but I don't have any responsibility of taking you."
"Yes?"
"I'm used to being alone and I plan to be alone in the future."
She was in daze. Like her glitter of hope has been crushed.
"In the first place I'm no longer a human. I am now a dragon. I don't need any companion. This is the truth."
Cedrick simply stated what he felt. Without knowing that his statement hurted Eliza's feelings. She felt immense pain at this moment.
"No. Don't leave me."
She started crying. It reminded her of him disappearing again.
"Please take me with you. I will do anything. Just please don't leave me again."
"Again?"
Not understanding what she meant. Cedrick remain standing expressionlessly.
"I promise I won't be a burden. All I want is to stay by your side. I don't care what you want to do with me as long as I am by your side. That's all matters."
Cedrick understood it as her desperation in survival, that she is clinging in her last hope.
"Even if you are a Saintess, it means very little to me. I won't benifit even a single bit from it."
"Please."
She continued on crying. Being annoyed by her cries Cedrick gave up.
"Do what you want."
Hearing Cedrick accepted her. She smiled in delight. She cried in delight and hugged Cedrick again.
"I can finally, finally be together with you."
Cedrick just stood still not responding at her and turned his attention to the Barbarian Prince. With the Draconic Eyes being active Cedrick inspected him.

Cedrick praised him in his mind. Cedrick looked at the Elven Girl whose hugging him tightly with a blissful expression.
"Can you let go of me. It's quite annoying when your being clingy."
"No way. If I let go again I'm sure you'll leave me."
Cedrick sighed as this situation become troublesome. Cedrick ignored her and talked to Josh.
"Hey kid, what were you doing here in the middle of nowhere?"
Hearing Cedrick, Josh eyes sparkle.
"Wow. The great dragon is talking to me!"
"Great Dragon? Ah right. He saw my true form earlier."

Seing Josh looking at him in worship. Cedrick ordered him.

Cedrick's interest pique. Wondering why was this talented lad sneaked out.
"My father and the elders told me a story about how awesome the wilderness is. They told me that there's always a strong one out there. I got curious and wanted to see it with my own eyes and fight it."

Hearing it came from his mouth innocently Cedrick was not surprised at all. Cedrick's curiosity about the child has risen.
"Your really a barbarian no wonder you think like that. Battle junkies. I'm sorry I annihilated your play mates earlier."
"No. I should thank you Dragon-sama I was able to see the Legendary Draconic Magic."
Josh politely replied with admiration.
"Wait a moment. That means this child can defeat all Goblins by himself?"
Claire asked as if she has been wronged. Well she cannot be blamed as she suffered instead of him.
"Yes. His been more stronger than them. He can deal with it but maybe he really wants to experience the perspective outside of his tribe. Anyway can you let go of me now?"
Hearing Cedrick grumbling of letting him go. Claire immediately buried her face into him and not answering at all. Cedrick sighed and gave up on persuading her as that was just going to be pointless.
"I really don't know what her thinking."
"Now Josh what do you plan to do?"
"Wow Dragon-sama knew my name. Dragons really knew are knowledgeable. Hearing Dragon-sama saying my name is my outmost honor."
"Ehem. I'm sorry I was so excited for the noble Dragon-sama to knew someone like me. Can I ask you a favor?"

Josh politely asks a favor to Cedrick.

"No matter how you look at it this quest is strange. It's just an escort quest but for it to S Rank, there's should be something in it."

"Now I see. This is ranked S because there are high level monster along the way. Hmm Level 50?"
"So the lowest level is Level 50. There's also level 100."
Cedrick pondered for a moment and answered Josh.
"I accept. I'm quite curious about the barbarians anyway."
"Yes. I'm bringing Dragon-sama at home. I'm sure father will be pleased with me and not going to scold me."
Josh shouted in delight and excitement.
"There's no reason for me to be scared just because they're higher level than me. I have Absolute Defence. Even if it does not activated, my defense will naturally rise and if they cannot finish me instantly they can't kill me."
"But what am I feeling right now? It feels the chest is throbbing. Am I excited about fighting high level monsters?"
"High Level Monster meant High Exp. I need 2 Million points points to level up. Even if I grind this it will take me forever. It's not like I can always destroy monster villages."
Cedrick strengthens his resolve and looked at sun rising. He smiled in anticipation.

In the woods three people are traveling together in a cheerful atmosphere. A dark-blue haired boy leading the group while the pretty elven girl still hugging him refusing to let go and a child who's eyes filled with curiosity as he glanced everywhere. The dark blue haired boy glanced to the child and thought.
"His curiosity is very impressive. I wonder how much was he holed up in their home. I don't know much about Barbarian culture but I know it's aligned with the belief in strength."
Cedrick's thought as he imagined the life of Josh. He then glanced at Claire who's hugging him with a very satisfied expression.
"Your hugging for hours now so can you let go?"
"I don't want to."
"I won't leave you alone so don't worry."
"Just a little bit."
Claire said with a smile on her face. Cedrick thought she looked cute for a second but did not dwell on it too much.
"Hugging me so tightly like this makes it hard to walk."
"I don't want to. I'm sure your leaving if I let go."
Claire tried to make excuses as she totally had no intention of parting from him as she had always wished for this since the day he died.
Cedrick rolled his eyes and sighed in annoyance. Leaving with no choice Cedrick changed his strategy instead of persuading her.

Claire looked confuse for a moment when he disappers and then saw him in front of her. Cedrick did not care at all as he continued on walking.
Seing his reaction Claire cutely pouted like a kid taken a lollipop. As they were moving forward they encountered a pig like humanoid monster.

Hearing Josh praised him Cedrick look at Josh. Seing Cedrick's gazing him Josh filled with excitement.
"Don't call me Dragon-sama anymore, it's so cringey."
After saying that Josh filled with embarrassment as he had thought he had disgraced a noble dragon. Seing his reaction Cedrick continued.
"Call me Cedrick. The name is Cedrick Astre."
Josh and Claire were surprised as he hadn't mentioned his name before. They thought he was hiding his identity but it was just that they didn't ask him at all.
"I understand Cedrick-sama."
"Cedrick, what a beautiful name."
Josh said in worship while Claire said like a maiden in love but Cedrick hadn't noticed or he just didn't care.
After traveling for 30 minutes Cedrick looked at the mini map. He saw a thousands of red dots.

"An orcs settlement. No wonder there's so many of them. Yesterday I encountered gobins village now it's orc."

Both were surprised as they were called. Claire flinched as she was approaching him slowly for a hug. Cold sweat run through her body at the moment. Josh on the otherhand showed excitement as he can sense the incoming battle.
"Let's form the party. It's good if all of us leveled up from this."
Hearing this Claire breathed of relief and Josh agreed without hesitation.

Claire subconsciously muttered. Hearing this Cedrick replied nonchalantly.
"Forming a party requires a name. I just thought of it randomly."
"Well it's kind of nice name. I like it."
Claire said with a smile. Like she was totally enjoying her moment.

Josh said as he was currently excited at the upcoming battle.
"Is there any way I can help Cedrick-kun?"
Claire asked worriedly afraid of being a hindrance. Hearing their concerns Cedrick replied with an expressionless look.
"You don't need to do anything."
"Huh, Why?"
Both Josh and Claire asked in a flustered manner.
"I'm more than enough. Just stay at safe distance and watch. I'll show why a Dragon is feared."
