Chapitre 48: After The War
64 years later on Mirac Planet
Since Binju has been defeated, the life on Mirac planet has returned to being peaceful and serene. The remaining human of Mirac planet begin to live their lives in peace. By working together they rebuild their homes. The markets began to look crowded and people interacted with each other happyly.
Currently there are only three kingdoms left on the planet, namely the Hwon kingdom, the Dam kingdom and also the Sung kingdom. Zaltarish as a wise king sends moral, social and power assistance to help the Hwon and Dam kingdoms to return to their original state. The inhabitants of the land of Hwon work together to rebuild their country which has been largely destroyed by the black power of Binju. It took quite a long time to build this kingdom back up as it used to be, but that did not dampen the enthusiasm of the residents of the Hwon kingdom to keep moving forward and create an advanced social life. The fairy inhabitants of the Sung kingdom also contributed to the rebuilding of the kingdom. The three kingdoms had a much closer relationship since the great war they won together.
On a high and steep cliff, a woman is seen standing alone and enjoying the wind blowing her face and waving her brunette long hair. She looks so beautiful and charming. Siera was looking far into the horizon and thinking about someone who for these decades had left her alone. Her face looked sad and full of pain.
Siera recalled the exact event after Binju was defeated. Just after then, the ice dragon send by Elmo comes and saves them all, bringing a group of seriously injured people to Elmo's cave for their treatment. At that time the members who were still conscious helped their comrades who were seriously injured and became their support when riding on top of the dragon. Key helps support Siera's body, Ryu helps support Woon's body and Eros helps support Gwi's body. The six of them fly to Elmo's cave riding the ice dragon.
After undergoing treatment for days Siera was the first one to wake up from her coma state. Eros immediately hugged the princess into his arms because he was so relieved that the woman he loved was able to survive and return to his side. Siera looked around and saw that Gwi and her brother Woon were still sleeping unconsciously. The woman looked worried to see the two precious people in her life were in a critical condition.
"They've already passed their critical state, don't worry. They will surely wake up soon..." Eros said to calming the princess when he saw the worried look on her face. Hearing the Dam king's words, Siera was able to breathe a sigh of relief. At least she didn't have to feel the lost for the umpteenth time.
The princess told her fiancé that she wanted to get some fresh air, Eros agreed and swiftly helped the girl up to walk out of Elmo's building. When the two of them came out, Siera was immediately greeted by the hug of Key, her best friend. Ryu and Elmo were also there. They were very happy that one of their friends had recovered from her injury.
"I'll take Siera to get some fresh air, I think it's good to get her back on track." said the king of Dam to the other three people. This is a signal from the man that he wants to spend a private time with his lover. Eros led Siera to walk to a place quite far from the others. They stood under a waterfall that looked very majestic and flowed into the cave. Siera closed her eyes and took a deep breath to take in the fresh air around her. The war was over, her heart felt very relieved and light now.
"Siera...." Eros called the princess softly.
The man took Siera's hand and held it tightly with both of his hands.
"I'm really happy that you're still alive... Now that Binju is dead, we can continue to live in peace now...." said the king of Dam gently caressing the woman's cheek. Sierra smiled and nodded slowly.
"Can I hug you again? I'm so worried about losing you forever..." Eros looked into Siera's eyes with a meaningful look. The woman didn't answer and only looked at Eros from her place. But she also showed no resistance and made the man pull her gently into his arms.
No one knew that at the time Gwi the werewolf had just woken up from his sleep. He woke up in a panic of thinking that Siera was dead. Gwi looked around and only found Woon nearby. Gwi hastily ran out of the room to look for the figure of the princess he loved. In a short time Gwi was able to find the woman standing with Eros under the waterfall.
The two were hugging each other without realizing that the werewolf was observing the two of them for a far distance. Gwi was happy and devastated at the same time. He was happy, he was very grateful that the woman was still alive and seemed fine. Thinking back on what he had been done to that woman made Gwi very angry and hated himself. He should have been the one protecting the princess, but instead he made her almost meet her death because of him.
Gwi started to think that maybe being by Siera's side was a very bad choice for the two of them. Gwi loves Siera. He really wanted to always stay by her side, but on the other hand he was unable to forgive himself for all the things that had happened to the princess. Seeing Eros stay by that woman's side made him feel sick and hurt. But another part of him was relieved and happy, at least Siera had someone who would always protect her and love her. Perhaps from the start, Eros was the only man who is worthy of being by the princess's side.
"..... I'm sorry.... Princess.... Siera...." Gwi said before turning around and leaving the two of them.
"Princess Siera! Commander Gwi has disappeared!" a few moments later Ryu with a face full of anxiety and out of breath came to the princess and informed the leader of the news about Gwi's departure.
"What do you mean?" Siera asked panickly and immediately ran into Elmo's house. She couldn't find Gwi anywhere. The man's bed was empty, there was only Woon who was still asleep and unconscious. Siera looked devastated, her eyes starting to tear up. But she didn't know what to do at that moment. Gwi has decided to leave her side. Siera walked limply to Woon and sat beside her brother. She lifted Woon's hand and placed it on her cheek.
"Woon... Can you wake up soon? Please don't leave me too..." said the princess in a low voice.
Siera's memories returned to the present now. She took a deep breath with a heavy heart. It had been decades since she had last seen the man. She had visited the forest where her initial encounter with Gwi had been for many times but she couldn't find the werewolf anywhere. It seemed that the man really wanted to hide himself from Siera.
Just then the princess walked backwards from the cliff. She wasn't sure if what she was about to do was the right thing to take. But she wanted to give it a try. Siera steadied her heart and took a deep breath. She immediately spurred her body and run towards the edge of the cliff. She wanted to jump off that cliff. The cliff is very high and if she falls from that place she might die very soon. Siera closed her eyes while running fastly and prepared to jump. She thought she was going to fall down soon, but just before Siera's feet reached the edge of the cliff, a pair of strong hands had grabbed her arm and stopped her from jumping.
"My... Princess... What are... you trying... to do?" asked a male voice breathless and frustrated. Such a deep and unique voicewho was very familiar to the woman. Siera smiled happily seeing the man actually really appear in front of her. She smiled triumphantly.
"Do I have to put my life on stake for you to appear before me?" the woman asked Gwi. The werewolf wrinkled his forehead trying to understand the words of the princess of the Hwon kingdom.
"Did you do it on purpose to lure me out?" Gwi asked in a cold voice.
"I know... I can always feel it, you're always around me right? You've never really left me and watched me from afar... How long are you going to hide from me?" asked the girl with a hurt expression. During these decades, even though she couldn't see Gwi anywhere, she somehow felt that the man was always wondering around her. Wherever Siera went, the man was always there and still protected her secretly. But Gwi never once appeared in front of Siera and always avoided the woman. Seeing how hurt the princess was in front of him made the man feel a destruction in his heart. For the first time, Siera expressed her feelings frankly to the man. Gwi bit his lower lip and turned his face away. He turned around and showed his back to the princess.
"I have tried to kill you..." Gwi said in a very heavy voice. Tears just rolled down his cheeks when he recalled what he did to her decades ago. Until now he still can not forgive himself.
"That's not you Gwi, you're just being controlled by a black power. I know you never wanted to hurt me ..." said the princess trying to argue with the werewolf's words. Gwi shook his head slowly and smiled sarcastically.
"It's better for you princess... If I'm not staying by your side..." said Gwi starting to walk away. Siera immediately ran to the man and rammed her body into Gwi's back. She hugged Gwi's waist tightly from behind.
"I don't want you to leave me...." Siera tightened her arms around the werewolf. Gwi bit his lower lip harder to hold back all the feelings that were trying to overflow from his chest.
"Do you remember the answer you gave me when I asked you why do you love me?" Siera tried to remind the man of an old incident that had happened in the Sung kingdom the night before they left to wage war against Binju. Gwi easily remembers what happened that night.
"Why do you even love someone like me?" Siera asked then.
Gwi looked at the woman with teary eyes and filled with wounds in his heart. He looked down for a moment then lifted his head again to look straight at the woman.
"I'm really not sure why... Since the first time I met you, for some reason there's an urge that makes me want to always be with you... After we've been through so many things together, I'm starting to get used to your presence... You seem to become the air needs to me when I breathe.... And I can't survive without that air.... " Gwi confessed to her honestly for the first time. He gave a sad smile after confessing his feelings. It was true for him, Siera meant so much in his life. But perhaps to Siera, Gwi was never more than a dried leaf that fell from a tree, he is meaningless. It really hurt him. Gwi doesn't want to stay any longer and begs the woman to feel his love. He then left the princess alone in the forest without another word. Leaving Siera who looked at the clear lake in front of her with a feeling she couldn't understand.
"To me... You are also my air, Gwi.... It took me a very long time to understand all about this. For all of these times your presence has no special meaning for me because I am too used to you. But when you left me just like that, I also realized.... You are the air that keeps me alive." Siera expressed her true feelings while hiding her face in the man's back.
Gwi couldn't believe what Siera said at that time. He didn't want to set his expectations too high. Siera has never familiar about love, she is only interested in getting a power. Gwi is afraid that if he hopes too much, Siera might misinterpret all her feelings at that time.
"I love you ....." Siera continued later.
Gwi's chest felt so tight when he heard her confession. He let go of Siera's hands around his waist and turned his body to look at the woman with his own eyes. Siera had to lift her head to be able to look into Gwi's eyes directly at such close range. The man's gaze was breathtaking.
"But you will soon marry another man my princess... The war is over, our country has returned toits peace. Haven't you decided to marry him when all of these wars were over? You can't love me..." said Gwi with a very broken heart. He remembered, he know it very well. Gwi recalled the conversation between Eros and Siera at that night.
