Chapitre 79: Car Chase (2)

The car swiveled to the opposite lane only to swivel back to their lane since a car appeared out of nowhere. 

Iris screamed in fright at the way Mariano was driving. She was expecting this car chase to be bad but not this bad. She had made the mistake of looking back and saw that there were two black cars following them closely behind. 

"Who are they?"

"I don't have an idea!" 

The fear that Iris was feeling intensified when she heard Mariano raising his voice. He never raises his voice and she sometimes thinks that he did not care about everything because his tone of voice had always been flat, cold, and unfeeling. 

She started shaking as memories of her being taken inside a car by some men who took her when she was a kid, running away from home.
