She followed Evan's walk to the elevator. Somehow, Rose feels blessed for using her sneakers. If she had worn high heels to enter this vast mall, she might have given up using her heels halfway through the mall and walked barefoot before she got home.
"You can't lie to me, Rose…." Evan took her hand and squeezed it gently. "I can see from your forehead that you're thinking about something. Did you feel sad because we can't look around?"
Rose was taken aback at his words. Evan totally could read her mood. Indeed she was a little disappointed. But, she also felt that it was not something to fuss about.
"You guess wrong, Evan." She chuckled. "I told you I have to unpack…."
"Haha, fine! Rose, I promise you, we will come here again tomorrow…."
