"You have 15 minutes to complete the test" As I said this the hourglass on the teacher's table turned over dropping sand.
I removed the thumping charm from my shoes and started walking within the classroom.

I intended to take all electives in 3rd year to make my father proud. When I asked the senior students they told me muggle studies as an elective is pretty simple and you don't need to put much time into it. They also told me Quirrell was a failure as a teacher and was a person who was timid and easily got bullied.
But the class was the exact opposite of what they told. He was confident and cleverly competent. I tried everything to remove the green prank curse the twins put on my clothes to no avail yet he removed it from all of us with just a wave of his wand.
Looking at this test in front of me I am flummoxed. What the hell are these questions?
Q1. What do you do when a muggle you deem to be unbalanced points a gun at you from a distance of 5 meters?
A) Run away.
B) Send a stupefy.
C) Use a shield charm in front of you.
D) Try to de-escalate the situation and pray that he does not shoot.
'What the hell is a gun. Well, it shoots something. I should use a shield charm I guess'

Soon I heard Professor Quirrell say 'times up' as the paper floated away from me and stacked in front of him.
[Leo/Quirrell POV]
"Well this is sadly not up to the standards for you ever venture out into the muggle world. None of you got all of them correct. I doubt that it would be the case for your seniors as well" I said.
"Let's keep this aside for now, shall we. In this class, I am going to teach you real-life skills that you will need to venture out into the muggle world. Skills that will prevent you from violating the statute of secrecy and skills that can complement you as a wizard". I said in a baritone voice.
"Sir, what are the right answers to those questions that you gave?" asked a curious Cederic.
"The answers are DABC and A. We will cover many of the ideas mentioned in the questions in the class" I replied.
"Today we will be discussing muggle weapons and why avoiding them is the best course of action" as I said this I heard many sneers among the students. "Why, what happened?" I asked.
"Sir, what can muggle weapons do to us wizards" Asked an amused Lee Jordan.
"Mr. Jordan, you are under the impression that muggle weapons can't harm us since we are wizards. The answer to the first question I gave on what to do facing a gun is the prime example of why we should not underestimate muggles. A gun is a device that sends out a projectile at high velocity".
"Say Mr. Jordan I am in possession of a rock." I levitated a crumpled piece of paper lying around and compressed it using magic.
"Now I use the projectile jinx waddiwasi". The crumpled paper shot at high speed and hit Lee's temple. "What will you do Mr. Jordan?" I asked.
"I wasn't ready sir" he replied rubbing his temple.
"In life Mr. Jordan no one will give you time to get ready, you fight and win or fight and lose". I replied.
"A gun is a similar device that launches steel projectiles at speed around 6 times of a projectile jinx." The class got silent immediately as conjured up an illusion of guns behind me. A pistol, shotgun, automatic rifle, and a sniper rifle. The illusions started turning as the students looked at them in fear.
"If a muggle in possession of a gun which is pointed at you at a close distance say 10 meters and say such a muggle is an expert marksman, your only option is to de-escalate the situation. Because before you set up a shield charm or before you stupefy him, the projectile shot would have pierced your heart" I heard gasps from the students. Many kids looked lost and down.

I saw that each of them trying to guess which answer would help them take down a muggle armed with a gun. "Actually the answer to it is right here at Hogwarts. Repello muggletum or the muggle repelling charm could be used to prevent such situations in the first place. Instead of attacking or defending you just prevent the conflict altogether" I said.
"Paper to be submitted at the end of the week. A footlong writeup on the muggle repelling charm and its method of administration, wand movement, incantation and how will you apply it in case a muggle holds a gun to your head without him noticing". I said as the class neared its end.
"Underestimating any situation can be fatal. There are not many cases where wizards are killed by muggles, but there are still cases, and tomorrow that unlucky guy or girl maybe you. The major reason why muggles have not killed many wizards is not that they fear us or our power. The only reason is that they don't know we exist. And that is why the statute of secrecy is important" I concluded the class while the illusion disappeared and I left for lunch leaving a dumbfounded group of youngsters behind.
