“Why… why? Why are you doing this?” she asked, wiping away all her tears that had followed after that lone tear as she glared hard at him.

“I’m sorry…” his voice was weak. “But I can’t let you die, Zary. I can’t –”

“What?!” she cut him off. She was in utter disbelief. Was Sam being crazy?! Did he even realise he was not making sense at all? “Sam… you, stopping me from getting on my flight today, kidnapping me to this unknown place without my consent… all of that which you had done, only meant that you did not want me to survive at all!” as she spoke, her tone got sharper and louder.

He shook his head firmly to deny all that she had just said. Then his gaze became hard and serious.

“Listen… you’ll die if you go ahead with that surgery –”
