Evelyn's Diary

   My energy seems drained. After school, I went straight to my room. However, someone's voice suddenly stopped my steps.

   "I got a call from your school. The principal asked me to come to school. What did you do to get me called to school?"

   I turned to find Mom standing at the bottom of the stairs with her arms crossed over her chest. My eyeballs roll.

   "I do not do anything."

"Don't lie, Eve."

   "Why would I lie?" I descended a few steps and came face to face with Mom. "You don't even know what I went through at school."

   "What have you been through? Killer teacher? The bad boy who bullied you? Broken heart?"

I didn't think she would respond to me like that. I glared at her. My eyes widen in disbelief.

   "I have to reap the karma of your past actions."

   "What are you saying??" Mom raised her voice.
